I’ve used diamond ball bits before (from Amazon) to make small divits in glass prior to drilling with a diamond bit. These bits barely put a mark on the glass. They don’t feel “rough” with diamonds. Not sure what was on the ball end, but it wasn’t diamonds. I returned them immediately.

As an artist this item was of great use. Drawback was that.. well none really works great.

I etch glass as a hobby. These work great and last as long if not longer than more expensive versions

For the price these diamond bits can't be beat. I do advise using water to cool the bits down if using on glass or mirror. I usually use them on drinking glasses & mirror, this was a first on tempered auto glass. I will continue to order these in the future.

These are great little Drexel type tools for working with stone. Putting your name in stone is a lot of fun when you have the right tools
