I ordered these because my plastic ones from Kreg are showing signs of wear. These being aluminum should last forever. The finish is really nice, and I hope that they will not get beat up easily. They fit my 3/4" dog holes and hold sturdy when clamped against. The anti-slip padding on top is a nice touch and the pads appear to be glued on very well. They are red in color and look very high end. Have only used these a few times, but when you need them, it is great to have them. Since they come 10 in a pack, I think the price is fair.If you have 3/4" dog hole in your bench, then I recommend these to add to your collection of accessories...

This review is for "QCDENG 10PCS Aluminum Bench Dogs, Woodworking Bench Stop for 3/4" Dog Hole".The stud diameter measures exactly 3/4" on my calipers.The finish and overall attention to detail seems excellent. All smooth surfaces, no burrs.The top has a rubbery pad which should provide friction for anything flat laid on top. Otherwise all the other surfaces appear to be coated metal.

My work horse bench dogs are a couple of sets of brass ones from the famous Canadian manufacturer and supplier of all things woodworking. The fit a 3/4" bench hole perfectly, are strong, corrosion proof, and do minimal damage if a sharp edged work tool accidentally encounters one. I really don't need any more, but the aluminum dogs caught my interest.These are in many ways quite similar to my brass ones. Aluminum, being softer than steel, does little harm to edged blades. Unlike many others of Asian manufactured, which are really 19mm in diameter, these seem to be a true 3/4 inch diameter, and thus fit all my bench holes. The anodization keeps them from corroding. I do have some concern the red anodization might rub off during contact with woods, but in limited use, this has yet to happen.The greatest difference in this bench dog is that it includes a pad on top that allows it to be a low bench riser--those things that look like hockey pucks (and sometimes are), that makes it possible to do cutting or routing without intermediary fixtures. From the photos, I believed these rubber pads had a stud that seated (and restrained) the pad on the top of the fixture--not true. The pads appear to be simply glued on, a not very secure method that could be easily done to my brass dogs as well. The glued down pad will be functional in the short run, but I expect to separate sooner than later. There was a better way--I wish the manufacturer would have take it.So a very good and versatile set of bench dogs, but there is clear room for improvement in the very area that sets it apart from the alternatives. Hence, 4 stars.

These stops fit perfectly and look great to boot. Only used them a few times so far, but they are excellent.
