These are solid, well-made eye bolts. The stainless steel will keep them doing their job for many decades to come. I will need to drill a pilot hole since these are a larger diameter than I had expected.

Shiny stainless steel, heavy-duty eye screws. 4" long, not 4" round, in case anybody was confused.At $2 per eye screw (at the time of my purchase), you might be able to get the same quality cheaper elsewhere, and you'd be able to find many, many other offerings of the same high quality, but these ARE as high-quality as any heavy-duty eye screws as I've found anywhere. Not better, just solidly top tier.I favor stainless steel for my heavy-duty eye-screws, because I work with rope a lot, and because of the smooth steel over which the ropes can glide, these can double as bargain-basement pulleys for many use cases.

I think I'd characterize these as Regular Duty rather than Heavy Duty.They are well made and clean with a nice sharp point so I was able to spin it into a pine gate post by hand without a pilot hole.

Strong and durable. The thread diameter is 0.370", at 5.5 threads per inch. The pilot hole needs to be 0.300" in hardwood, but these can go tightly into a 0.250" pilot hole in soft wood. The eyelet is 1.020" ID and 1.650" OD. These are probably not the heaviest and most aggressive threads available in this size eyelet. I think these are perfect for static applications like hanging lighting or a clothes line. But they might work loose after years of high-stress dynamic loads like an outdoor hammock or swing set. It really depends on the load and the type of wood.

I use these as anchor hang points for cable pulleys. I’ve loaded as much as 150lbs on they haven’t bent or wiggled around or anything. Great price for the quantity you get.

I checked out these screw eyes in several ways and they meet all of my expectations. Firstly, 304 stainless steel screws should have very little ferrous percentage -- thus these are completely non-magnetic and thus have a very low rust potential. They gain their strength and toughness partly because of their higher chromium content.Next, I expect M4 screws to adhere to rigorous sizing tolerances. So I dug out my calipers to check them out. The stated wire screw size is 4.4 mm which is 0.173 inches: check out the caliper reading in my photo --> right on! I checked a random sampling of these screw eyes and they were all very close.Overall, well-made screw eyes which can be used for marine or outside uses!

Metal is smooth, no pits. Shafts are straight, threads good.Impressions: these are very large and stong eye bolts. The metal is good. The surface is smooth and there are no pits or flaws. Very nice polish. The threads are cleanly machined. Tip is very sharp. The bolts are straight and the eye is well formed.These are heavy-duty eyebolts. The threaded area is nice and long and would grip wood very well. You could easily put a lot of weight or tension on it and it would hold. They claim 800 pounds breaking strength and you'd believe it.If you needed to run steel cable or hold up a very large sunshade this would easily be up to the task. Including the drill bit is a nice touch so you have everything you need to get the job done.
