The knobs are badly designed, they have ridges/lines engraved on the part you turn but they made the lines go the SAME WAY that you're turning instead of perpendicular so it gives you LESS control when turning and makes it "slippery" -- no lines at all would have given your fingers more surface area to grip. It's like slippery ice. They literally designed it poorly. It's like the designer has never done industrial design and is like "eh I put a texture on the knob textures look good and make it easier so it's a 'feature'" without considering the direction of the lines of the basic physics/biomechanics involved. Two stars off for that since it means the knobs are useless trash. The dial itself and electronics are superb. Super smooth, quiet, no defects, pleasure to rotate (using a better designed knob). So for that I would get this again. But the knobs are pure trash, a master class in how adding a "feature" makes it LESS usable and worse.

Bought two bags of these because I wanted the three pin connectors for a project. One bag had one bad pot. The other bag was all bad. No continuity through the outer pins at all. Should read about 10k ohms. I would not recommend these. If you do use them, test them first with a multimeter. The ones that do work are smooth and accurate according to my tester.

I use them to fake out the security key on my Saturn. I lost the original key and a new key costs more than the car is worth.

One of the potentiometers had flaky connections at the rivet that connects the trace to the solder tab. Hopefully the others don't develop bad connections as they get used.
