I have 2 of these, each in ~14 year old HPN54L micro servers. One runs Unraid and the other is frequently switched between different linux distros. So far no issues and great speeds with jumbo frames, but good without them.

TLDR: It stops receiving or sending packets after an amount of traffic that will no longer work. It may have been a faulty one, but highly recommend staying away. Buyer beware!I tried...really...really hard to get this to work. I was using this for linux. I tried updating the drivers for this thing. I put this back up and back into the motherboard numerous times. I tried it with different OSes. I didn't have a 10Gbe router yet, but then I bought one. I got 10 GbE cables. I tried everything. It simply did not work.By "did not work", the card would work for the first few bytes sent or received, then it will drop any packets afterwards. You can never complete a 256 MB file, it stops approximately half way and 0 packets received. The worst part is that the network card shows no signs of issues. No kernel error messages. Nothing wrong with lights on the back.I've banged my head trying to fix this and I'm so sad that I had to return this. I'm not sure if it was a faulty device, Intel's driver, or this device is a scam, but I would recommend staying away from this card or any network card using the ixgbe driver.I've found success with another 10GbE adapter that doesn't use an Intel chip. That's all I can say without breaking Amazon's rules. Best of luck to you fellow Amazonians!

Honestly, I bought it because it was black (matched my setup) and was cheap. But it works just fine and reliable with my MSI MB. Super fast, fit right in.

Definitely worth the purchase. The only thing I had to do was install the drivers and change the speed under the device manager within the network adapters.
