I ordered this thinking I was gonna work and then it says scan it with the camera so that you can get the app on your phone. It never scanned it never did anything not happy sent back.

Quality seems decent. Installation was easy—had some issues connecting it to the app. The camera, however, seems sluggish and lets me know someone is there after a good 15 seconds (even on high sensitivity setting), mostly people will walk away after 5-10 seconds so it captures just the hallways or their arm as they walk away. Overall, it’s good but not the best. For the price I expected a bit more.

I like this door peephole camera. It's easier to view at the door on its screen, and can be checked from the phone. Smart actions can't seem to trigger off this, so no turning on lights, sounding a chime, etc. when someone walks up to the door unfortunately. Installation was pretty simple, though it lacks the tool to remove old peephole ring (I used pliers). The biggest issue was with a screen door, which had a significant effect on picture quality, and made IR Night vision hazy because the screen reflects a lot. Turning off IR night vision helps, and with an automatic porch light is acceptable. A glass door in front would likely also cause problems with IR night vision due to reflections, with the same solution of turning IR off.Picture is decent in day. IR vision at night is easy to see. With IR turned off things are dark; this doesn't have "starlight" color as some cameras do. Resolution does seem to be full 1080p. Not that wide-angle, maybe 90° horizontal and 60° vertical.Live view works decently. Takes about 15 seconds for app to open live view, less than a second on display unit. Audio has some choppiness to it (as to recordings). Sound isn't that loud on porch as speaker is on display on other side of door.Memory card recording is OK. I could only get it to record on motion when human detection was enabled, or continuous. Timeline is pretty basic, and navigation isn't great (there's no list of events, just timeline).Motion detection is good, with sensitivity. Notification comes up within a few seconds in app. Human detection ignores other motion so few false alarms (no subscription required). Seems to only have PIR, no radar. Has scheduling to ignore during scheduled times.Tuya/Smart Life is decent, and used by tons of smart products so it's not some other obscure app used by only one product.Minor issues:- Not wide-angle view. Can't see people's hands.- Memory card recording browsing isn't great.- Slight audio glitchiness in live and recordings.

They knocked it out of the park on this one. About a month ago I was looking for a peephole camera that did exactly this. I searched Amazon and did not find a single peephole camera and I wondered if this product even existed. I thought about one using my imagination because there is no peephole on my door and I already have Blink cameras but they are too slow to see who's out there in real time. So I thought for sure they must exist because it is so easy to imagine one. So when this showed up in my recomendations I was pleasantly shocked and ordered it right away. It was exactly the one I had envisioned with an LCD display on the inside and wide angle camera outside. It's really good as the LCD screen is bright and large (for a peephole) and you will get a much better image then when looking through a peephole. People on the other side will be a much larger image then a traditional peephole and the camera has color and night vision and is able to see a wide image. I put it in the middle of my door and I can't quite see the ground outside the door for a few feet but other then that it's really great. If you want to primarily keep an eye on packages then I would suggest you put the camera lower then the middle of the door. You would have to also put the display lower since the cable to the camera is really short. I'm fine with the middle of the door and it's really easy to see. Battery Life: I've read the complaints of battery life in some other reviews. I do not understand that at all. I charged my screen fully the first day and I haven't had to recharge it yet. It's been in for a few weeks now. The battery seems to last a long time for me and I've been looking through it and activating the screen on the regular. It even has a battery life monitor on the display screen so it shouldn't surprise you when it dies because the battery symbol will be red and low. But even if it did die on me I would just plug it in without taking it down. It will work and charge at the same time you just plug it in. I don't kow how well there other options work like the app and what have you because I have no need for that I just need to see who's out there faster then the blink cameras and this is perfect. It has maybe a one second delay when you push the button to turn on the screen which is 100x's faster then checking a Blink Camera.

This digital door viewer is a great upgrade from a traditional peephole! It was easy to install, and the picture is much clearer and wider than my old peephole. I can see who's at the door without having to open it, which makes me feel safer. The app is handy too – I can see who's there even when I'm not home. It's a good product for the price.

This is a great, well thought out product that allows you to have a true peephole camera. This is great for homes that have restrictions in place on what can go on the door. This is very discrete and works flawlessly. You need to read instructions for the app and adding the peephole to the app. You may also have to reset your router if it isn’t adding. But once it’s added it’s flawless and on par with with name brand products.Highly recommend!
