For the price, the quality is decent. I read others reviews concerning the button not staying in lock position & I thought I can handle that but I can't. I have already gotten my knuckles whacked with it a few times. Also, this isn't long enough which was my mistake. I thought the 16 ft would be ok but when compared to my last leash it was quite a bit shorter. Unfortunately I am going to have to purchase a different leash as this one does not meet my needs.

A little disappointed that it didn’t have the locking mechanism once you reach the desired length or distance. You have to hold the button down.

Snapped apart on the first day we used it. My dog is small and elderly. No reason for it to break. Just poor quality.

We use these on cats, not dogs, and it is amazing how much easy they are to use. We have one cat who really likes to explore, but we would prefer them to not go too far. This leash allows him to explore our front yard and still stay connected to the human sitting on the front step. It is just easier for the human that way.
