It seemed like it would be so easy. Nope. First, they aren't easy to cut. I ruined one pair of scissors (see the photo). Tried to then cut them with the boning scissors I use to spatchcock chickens, nope. I ended up getting out my BIG bolt cutters. They work, but are a little bit of overkill for a little metal thing. Then, I tried to get a piece into a good sized crack in my mortar. The little tool that comes with it was bending and wasn't getting it in there at all. I was afraid I would break it. So, I got another one out of my tool box that is much sturdier and finally got one cover in a hole, but it isn't really covering much. Maybe a mouse won't be able to make it in.I will keep trying...I have holes here and there all around the house. I will certainly change my rating if I find I am doing something wrong............it just seemed like it would be so easy. It isn't.....and I really am pretty handy around the house.

These weep hole covers are great. Very sturdy, rodents, salamanders, etc. will not be able to easily, if at all chew through these.Make sure you use the gloves, because they do protect your hands. These covers are easy to apply, especially if you only have to bend them just a little to fit. If more than a little, I recommend you get some shears to cut to size because they are very sturdy. I replace these over thin mess versions in my weep holes. These are much better!

These are nice weep hole covers not only for brick/mortar, but also for stone like granite. The mesh is painted for color so if you need to cut it, you're still protected from corrosion. They include the scraper to push the mesh in and the small pull tool for when you push it in too far.You probably will need your own gloves if your hands are any larger than a medium. For what they cost, I think that these are a good buy.

These stainless steel weep hole covers are densely designed with very little holes to help preventing small creatures entering the wall. They are not difficult to install, just take strength and effort. Instruction says to push the middle of the cover with the flat blade tool it comes with after positioning it over the weep hole. I personally discovered that if I fold it in the middle to about 45 degree angle, showed on the photo attached here, then push it into the weep hole with the blade tool, it’s easier to install this way and can get it more symmetrically done. The gloves it provides certainly helped protecting my hands from being scratched up by the metal screens during installation especially when folding/bending them. The pointy tool worked to pull out the screen when needed for repositioning. But this tool broke when I was half way putting this all over the weep holes around the exterior walls of my house. The metal separated from the plastic handle. I tried to push it back into the plastic handle and continue using it, but the metal would come out sometimes when the cover is a little too stuck which is annoying. And in the future, if I ever need to take them all out of the weep holes, with this tool being broken it would be difficult. This set provides 100 screen covers, which is more than enough for my house. The photo attached here shows the amount that’s left after I finished covering all the weep holes around my approximately 2400sqft house. During installation I find some holes are slightly longer than the length of this cover, so I used two of this for those holes, setting them up using one at a higher position and one at a lower position. A few holes are shorter than the length of this cover, I used a regular kitchen scissors to cut the cover with no problems. Overall this is a decent set for weep holes.

These weep hole covers are amazing! They are super easy to install. Everything you need to install them comes in the box. Compared to the really expensive metal weep hole covers that I purchased, hands down, these are the best! I did have to use two of the little screens in some of the holes but even though, it’s way more economical to use these and use two in each hole than it is the more expensive brand that is very difficult to install. I have already shared them with my friends with a high recommendation.
