We were looking for string lights to replace the single, bare bulb in our attic for better visibility when checking on our central air conditioner and changing out filters. For our application these things are really bright and the pictures I took are not doing these lights justice. Only had them about a month and used maybe 3 times so longevity I cannot speak of at the moment. But this was a simple way to run a LOT of light in a very dark space.

I put these in my crawl space attached to a switch. Much easier to use when I go down under the house. Very bright and seem durable. Great price too. May get a second set for the attic.

i installed these in a carport in between two LED light fixtures that screw into existing light sockets that are supposed to be motion sensor lights but don't work well. I found a motion sensor solution for these shop lights that is very adjustable and works well. Contrary to responses I got saying it can't be done, this works well to add a motion sensor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSXYJD68I am going to get another set or two of these lights for portable and temporary outdoor lighting needs, such as camping or backyard. The 50 foot length I think is more useful and manageable than the 100 foot, at least for my purposes.To install in the carport, I used these diamond shaped hooks for the carabiners included with the lights. These are great for windy conditions as they have a clip to keep them on the hook. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCYVK2G4I then used a few of these rounded versions with the clip to keep the cabling secured: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D87FXN2CTo test out the motion sensor to make sure it worked, I just used a strong magnet to attach it to a joist hanger. The motion sensor does come with a stick on magnet as well as screw in options. I will have it installed permanently now that I know it works. I went out there to take some photos for this review and the sensor worked perfectly, as I wanted it to come on with motion detected some distance from the carport. The screw-in motion sensor lights I just bought to replace the previous failing lights never came on. I will return them. The previous ones were also replacements but at least they worked somewhat. They would come on in a slight wind or whatever, and stay on, and then one burned out. These new ones are a lot worse and don't even come on most of the time.Bottom line, I highly recommend these lights, as well as the motion sensor if desired.

I have an unlucky unlit standup crawlspace. I've been using various single socket solutions for lighting the space that is the hiding place for holiday decorations and seasonal furniture a water softener. Our circuit panel, water heater and a small hobby table are lit by 2 4' tube lights. There's solutions are terrible as the bulbs don't last and they just never cast enough light to make the yearly scavenger hunt for decorations easy.I saw a construction site that had light bulb string lights and thought aaaahhhhhaaaa that's what I need for the crawlspace. Was that ever a valuable epiphany... I found these 100' section that could be expanded with LED pods every 5 or 6 feet. The pods come with super handy carbineer clips for hanging them including driving a screw into a floor joist and hanging out on that. The pods are well made and the wire is thick enough to feel safe.The light these things put out is enormous, light fully lighting that 60x40 crawl space with bright even light.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE LIGHTS

Each is like at least a 150W spot. Need to hang way over your head… 14 feet up should do it. I’m still seeing stars. Likely will return for a softer light. Nice looking product though.
