I've tried them all. I send 25 to 60 8x10 photos a week. Trying to keep costs down I've tried them all. Most are very flimsy, especially the less expensive ones. These are more $ because they really are thick and rigid. The ones that include the "do not bend" stickers are close but still not as rigid. Plus these will run through the Post Office sorters as "BENDABLE". I do it all the time. (If you do not put too much in them) I can send 4 or 5 8x10s before it gets iffy. Then they have to go as "Not bendable".

I ordered these to send out one-page certificates. When mailed in a heavy-weight paper envelope, it cost $1.20. With these envelopes it cost $4.00 each for 1 sheet of paper. I knew they were going to cost more, but $2.80 more? That's crazy. They are very heavy, thick and won't bend, but way too heavy for my use.

I ordered this product from the same supplier in 2015 and was happy with it, so I clicked "Buy It Again" in my Amazon order history in early January, 2018, but the product I got this time was different. They are now smaller than the listed dimensions. They list it at 9 3/4" across, but it's only 9 11/16 across, probably only 9 1/2" on the inside. I ordered these to ship books which fit just perfectly into the previous envelopes, so I had to actually cut open 70 of these envelopes to fit my books inside, then tape them back shut. I wrote a letter of complaint asking for a replacement and they were not helpful. Of course they offer to return it for a refund, but the shipping cost is more than the value of the product. Super annoyed at the product change and their refusal to either acknowledge it or make it right. I will obviously be exploring new shipping options in the future.In my photos you can see the newer, narrower envelope laying over top the older envelope. The original has the red stripe like the product picture, but what you are actually getting is the white striped one (which is not 9 3/4" wide).

I frequently mail out 9x12" watercolor paintings in these mailers. I chose them because I was looking for a mailer that was both durable and rigid (naturally I'd prefer that the artwork wasn't bent en route to the buyer). These certainly fit the ticket. Although, to be overcautious, I also include a piece of 8x10" chipboard to deter bending or mishandling during shipment.With the additional chipboard, I can fit up to 2 paintings (or, for other uses, photos) in the mailers. If I didn't have the chipboard, I would be able to fit 3 pieces.The adhesive strip at the top holds its place well. I barely have to seal it and it stays firmly in place. There is also a tab to open the envelope once its been sealed, so there is less of a chance of inadvertently damaging the contents when opening the envelope.The exterior is glossy and I use a stamp with water-based ink for my return address. In order to keep it from smudging, I cover it with a piece of clear packing tape. Although, using an alcohol-based ink with the stamp would have the same results.The envelopes arrived well-packaged and all were in excellent condition.

It ended up being a lot more stable than I would have expected, perfect to use for sending books.I recommend that some cardboard should be provided to protect paper products such as art of photos from bending, but just the slight width of a book makes the rigid mailer stiff enough to not bend or cause harm to the books in transit. They stay very well protected and the envelopes are very easy to work with as well. I will definitely be ordering more of these envelopes in the near future.

As a former printing craftsman, fine printing and paper products are very important to me.I wanted to avoid using cheap, flimsy catalogue envelopes for mailing high-quality presentation folders and materials to my clients. The materials themselves cost several dollars each to produce and are a reflection of the type of work I do.I searched looked for a solution. I discovered these wonderful rigid photo mailers. Not only were they substantial, but my materials arrived in pristine condition! The white color matched my computer printed labels, so the look was high professional. The pricing is quite reasonable and is well worth every penny!I cannot give enough praises for this wonderful product and the nice folks who provide them. These stay-flat mailers are perfect for mailing items that need to stay flat. Each mailer comes with a self-adhesive strip that you can apply to seal the mailer. The price was fantastic and the product arrived within 7 days of ordering it. It serves its purpose beautifully. I will not hesitate to order from this company again.
