So good... we charged the lithium to 100%, covered the solar and the light stayed on for over 24 hrs. Need to test the rest.

The ALIESTFDNO Survival Radio is a solid unit. I like the military look to it and the turn dial that tunes the radio. It lights up and that is cool too. The solar panel is big and sits right on top. It's a well designed, thought out unit. The "desk lamp" is big and bright and easy to access. The carrying handle has a compass which is a nice bonus. The flashlight seems to be on the brighter side although I don't know the exact lumens but I can see the light on a bright sunny day. I like the charging indicators to let you know where you are on your battery life. The ports are well covered and you have an SOS siren that works fairly well. It is only so loud but could make a difference. My favorite part of the unit is the tuning dial. Although simplistic, it's easy to use and adjust. It even has a battery port for AAA Batteries but you have the solar panel and the hand crank if ever needed. I don't know what else you could pack into this unit short of a HAM or CB Radio. Simply put, this unit could go along way in helping one survive.

...That said, don't let its compact size fool you. this thing has so many uses! So we just bought a country home and some of the stretches of road nearby have little to no cell service. It seemed like this would be a good thing to keep in the car for emergencies, but I wasn't expecting it to have so many features. I figured the hand crank 'power' for radio alone would be worth it, but it's also an pretty amazing flashlight or lantern. Then, there are additional ways to charge or power it - solar is just one of them. If you charge it at home it does last a good long time, but if that gives out you've got solar and the aforementioned hand crank options to charge. It's also a charging 'brick' for cell phones if your battery give out on the road. I wanted it for the car and travel, but beyond that it's probably really good to just have in the house for outages and whatnot. All of this for under thirty bucks. It's one purchase that made the move from the big city to the 'woods' a bit less daunting, certainly!

The radios and lights are useful, not so the compass. The crank handle seems flimsy. I turned the crank, but feel I'd break it if I cranked it vigorously to charge the battery. I will keep this in the basement storm shelter area.
