Good variety of older sets, good amount of rares. Nothing valuable but that's to be expected. Good starter collection to add to some commander precons

Buen surtido de cartas para complementar algunos decks, casi no vienen cartas repetidas, casi no vienen tierras.

I have bought bulk 1,000 mtg cards on eBay before with ok enough luck with usable stuff and cards from older sets that have odd interaction. Those sets I spent around $20-$23 each on, some with a lot of duplication, some with mostly junk. This time I decided to spend a little more and got the gold collection for $35.I’m honestly impressed, duplication was pretty light, got a bunch of legendary creatures and usable stuff, some staples were in my set of 1,000. Some of the rares were pretty good to for using. I felt like the person who packed this was leaving breadcrumbs of card interaction to build two new commander decks I’m onto making now: blue/white flyers and blue black mill. I got enough out of this deck to get inspired to build those two new decks, and got a great start on the 99. This set is great for beginners too, you can build some jank decks out of it outright or get started with usable cards for deck building. Card quality was fine, maybe two or three cards were heavily played. I honestly am going to get this set again down the road.

Excellent assortment of cards from many different sets, very few repeats. The rares were of low value but still very good considering the price point. Superb product!

Great stash for building up my collection, mostly common cards (kinda worthless) but got some great cards all the way back to 1995! what a blast from the past. Happy with what I got, mostly blues and greens, could have had a few more blacks, but what can you do.Was very happy to see the special cards were in a sleeve, which was nice. Still cataloguing them, but one card is worth about $7 alone, so stoked with that. Value is pretty darn good, about 1/6th or less if you'd paid the average RRP for each card individually.Compared to other reviews, I only got 2 that weren't in English, (Japanese) but I'm happy to sell/trade those, so no great loss there.I don't normally write reviews unless the product is exceptionally great and I was so happy with this.Works out cheaper than buying one of the newer sets if you just want a collection boost like me.However, if you're thinking it will be like the excitement of opening a new set, you will be disappointed. That is not what this is for.Highly recommended, arrived 2 days ago and I'm already thinking about buying another. Photo taken after sorting the cards into each individual set they belong to.

First Things First - This review is from the perspective of someone who started playing Magic: The Gathering during the pandemic with Arena and then bought a few pre-constructed decks to start playing the physical game. I wanted to make my own deck and start a collection, but wanted to keep my precons intact. So for all intents and purposes, these are my first MTG cards. (Probably not the best way to start but my LGS is sold out and this is a cheap way to get a lot of cards)Lands and Playing Right Away- Do NOT buy if you want to start playing with these right away. My box only came with 66 land cards including basic, dual-color, and colorless. This seems like a good chunk, but divided across the 5 colors there's 13 cards of each mana type, give or take a few (they were spread out pretty evenly, which is nice). This is not enough to form a deck and start playing with. If the colors do happen to be enough to play with, there's no guarantee it'll be in the color you want to play. However, I don't think this is a negative as anyone who already has land cards (or even myself if I were willing to separate my other decks) wouldn't need many more and could be disappointed if too many cards were lands. So all in all it's a fair amount.Amount of Cards - As others have mentioned, it is not strictly 1,000 cards. They just stuff the box full and I ended up with 1,091 cards all in great condition (considering their age) to near mint.Age of Cards and Variety - The pulls come from all sets with the earliest I got being from the first expansion, Arabian Nights from 1993, and the most recent being Commander Legends from November of 2020. A majority of the cards were from sets from 2000-2015 (among many many others. I got a little over 100 different sets, although many only had 1-8 cards with 3-5 being average). Along with the great variety of sets there's also a good mix of card types. I did not catalogue any so I can't give numbers, but I did feel like there was a good mix between creatures, instants, artifacts, etc. I don't think I got any tokens though. Similarly to how the lack of lands impacted the ability to play out the box, the variety is great for collecting, but probably not the best for trying to make a cohesive deck.Rarity of Cards - I did not count the commons and uncommons, but I did receive 31 rares and 22 foils. I think one of the foils was a rare and the rest were mostly common with a handful of uncommon.Duplicate Cards - This is where my being a new player comes into play a little more. Because I am looking to make a new deck and want to collect anything I can get my hands on, I personally don't view copies as a bad thing as they can be used over several decks or stacked in one to increase your chance of getting it. That being said I do understand wanting unique cards. So for this section I only counted copies that were greater than 4 since that's the amount of a single card allowed in a deck. Here's what I got by number of copies of a single card: 5, 8, 5, 5, 10, 8, and 6. Overall of 1,091 cards, there were only 7 card names I got more than four times and 19 cards that are "worthless" as I already have four other copies from the box. Overall not too bad.Different Languages - I only got 1 card that was in Japanese, which I personally think is kind of cool. Especially now that Strixhaven boosters come with a 50% chance of getting an alt art Japanese card it's kind of cool to get one from an older set.TL;DR - Good variety spanning most sets, low land count for new players but arguably high count for those that already have lands, relatively few copies, 1 from a different language, and small amount of rares and foils (but come one what did you expect for a $20 box of random cards?)

I have bought a few other similar products and this is without question the best. 60 holo/rares in each box (although lacking mythic rares) not too many duplicates (with 2 purchases no more than 5 duplicates of any card) no duplicate rares, and care was put into packaging. Quality of cards was above what I expected as well for the price. For the extra 3$ this is definitely worth the purchase.I will be purchasing it again to build my card library

tl;dr: Great selection of starter cards, high diversity, fair number of common/uncommon/rare cards, cards span two decades of Magic: The Gathering.Pros:Few copies - the most duplicates I had of any one card was 4 (excluding basic lands, of which there are 16 each)Cards of all ages - from 1993 to 2015Cards are in generally great conditionNice mix of commons/uncommons/raresSturdy box, well suited for storing your new cardsRares were mostly separated, and the rare foils came in a card sleeveBasic land cards were wrapped together, so you knew where and how many there were - no guess-work; 16 of each, or 90 in total.Cons:Few cards in foreign languages (four cards of 1,066)Probably not enough power cards for a very strong/themed deckI stopped playing Magic: The Gathering over sixteen years ago, but recently decided to get back into it on a whim. I had sold off my old cards and had nothing to start from, although my girlfriend still had her cards from back in the day. My desire to get back into the game was inspired by visiting a local gaming shop, where they had plenty of cards and accessories stocked. I looked online for cards and found this set of "1000 Assorted Magic: The Gathering Cards" and figured... I like to collect, I have nothing... pretty much anything, if the cards aren't all cheap duplicates (and even then, a few duplicates of useful cards never hurt anybody!) in bad condition, I should be good, right?Absolutely the case. If you're in my position, you'll be abundantly pleased by what you get, assuming there's any consistency. Of the 1,067 cards that arrived, four were in a foreign language and two had stamps on them. One had a little wear. As far as the condition of the cards went, that's 7/1,067 you could gripe about, if you're so inclined (only the foreign cards bother me, and since there's only four of them, and they're all commons... I don't care too much). As for packaging, the cards all come neatly packed in the sturdy cardboard box pictured in the description. The basic lands (of which there were 16 per color, for a total of 90 basic lands) were separately wrapped, so you didn't have to worry and guess how much junk you were getting... although again, if you're starting fresh, some lands won't bother you. Other than that, only the rare foils were likewise separated in their own little plastic sleeve. Nice touch. So, what specifically did I get? Well, here's the run-down (yes, I followed the example of others in this review and recorded everything so I could write this review):Lands: 90 (+1 foil land)White: 158Blue: 179Black: 174Red: 163Green: 178Artifact: 76Multi: 48Total: 976 cards (+91 basic lands)Common: 779Uncommon: 161Rare: 36Foil: 25All in all, it seems like a fair spread of cards. I wouldn't expect anything super valuable, but you'll get a ton of diversity and a few out-right powerful cards. I personally like building "themed" decks (goblin decks, cleric decks, zombie decks, etc), and if you're going in that route or aiming for something that'll be able to compete with long-time players, you'll probably need to get more than this. Still, it's a fine foundation upon which to build by buying newer cards or specific singles. For new players, collectors, old players looking to get back into the game, or players who just want to add a bunch of diverse cards to their library, this is a great purchase. I'm not just blowing smoke, either, my girlfriend and I both bought another one of these after seeing what cards I got in my first one. They arrive today, and I can only hope the next two boxes are as good as the first. Will update!
