PACKAGINGThese less lethal .50 cal balls are made in China and arrived in a clear plastic bottle making it easy to pack or store in a range bag.INTROI inspected and tested 35 randomly selected samples of the 100 less lethal balls received from the 40Max store.COMMENTS:The manufacturer states the internal ball is “stainless steel iron”. Stainless steel is typically non-magnetic however these balls will stick to common household magnet. Additionally, I don't own the proper equipment to verify if the outer ball shell is silicone.WEIGHTEach of the balls 35 balls all weighed approximately 4.9 grams which is consistent with the stated specsSHAPE & WEIGHTThe exterior shape for many of the balls was not perfectly round and when rolled across a smooth flat surface most would not roll in a straight path at low to medium speeds. Years of playing and trading marbles still comes in handy.SUMMARYBased on my inspection and the fact that my shooting range is fairly short and narrow in an urban area, I did not take the risk of shooting these. At a cost of .50 each, I would expect more quality and consistency to produce accuracy especially if ever needed for a real time event.

Works great! Shoots more accurately than the regular metal balls and seems to shoot harder as well. I think the rubber helps it seal in the barrel better but that’s just a guess. Either way they work much better.
