First rate wiring protection thru studs !

These are well made, and fit 1" holes well. Be cautious, many electricians use smaller holes to run wires, so be sure you get the right size. I have always worried when setting lag bolts and deep screws and nails that I might damage the insulation on wires within the walls. This really helps give peace of mind that my home improvement projects won't burn the house down some day! Considering price-point...I do recommend.

These worked exactly as promised. It requires drilling a 1-1/8" hole in a stud, then lightly hammering it into 1 side. Depending upon the length of your drill bit, it may be easier to cut the bit shorter to make a standard drill easy to insert between studs. You can get at least three 12-2 NM wires, maybe more. The one thing I would have preferred is the ability to buy a smaller box of them than 100 for a DIYer.

These wire guard seems to be well made. They come with a plastic box. Mine was damaged during shipping. Oddly for heavy item like this, it's shipped in a plastic bag which offered no protection at all. They are much cheaper than surface nail guard plates, but the metal seems to be less hard though.

I’m in the midst of rewiring our outdoor shed into a she-shed - adding extra outlets and some additional wiring. Since the walls were never enclosed, it’s easy for me to install these MooxHAI Smart Shield Nail Guard for Wire Cable Protection in the existing holes where wiring is currently running. There is an open slot on once side to allow me to slide the wire into the guide as I install it into the hole and then carefully pound the guide into the holes allowing the hooks to bite into the wood and secure the shield.Worked on existing holes and the new holes I drilled for additional fixtures. Big fan - lots of shields and a reusable carrying bin with clips to keep it closed.

The smart shield nail guards for wire cables are a must-have for any wiring project. With 100 in a pack, there are plenty to cover all the studs where wires run. These provide peace of mind by protecting the wires from potential damage, especially when hanging pictures or other items later. They’re easy to install and fit snugly into place, offering reliable protection against accidental punctures. I love knowing that these guards reduce the risk of electrocution and wire damage over time. They’re a simple yet highly effective solution for safe and long-lasting electrical work.

Same size and shape as the original Southwire brand. These are made from a slightly softer material and have less durable finish, but are otherwise identical to the name brand version. The differences are small, but unfortunately, these cost just as much as the name brand version. Unless you can save some money buying these, I recommend getting the Southwire brand. These go in easy after drilling holes in the studs. I like to shoot a laser or run a level string across each wall and then pre-drill all the holes at once using a right angle drill. Then hammer in these protectors before pulling wire. Works great and saves time because these are easier to pull through than bare wood. Seems to give some strength to the studs as well. Great product that serves multiple purposes.
