I have a dispenser that can fit about 8 ft or so on its little spool. The hardest part was finding the end to start unwinding it from the ball, which is the only reason I have it 4 stars on ease of use. Once I had it going though it came free pretty easily. One great thing I like about it is how it seems to be self extinguishing. Once the flame is put out the wick doesn't continue to smoke and burn for a long time like other lower quality wicks. I also notice no added flavor from it which is great. I fully refilled my dispenser and then some and I barely used any of it, I can't tell a difference in size at all. Will buy again probably in like 6 months or so

I use the 2mm hemp wick for candles and during wick tests it has been one of the few to not produce smoke. Love it.

I bought this as a novelty item for the benefit of some friends, and then I found that this, in conjunction with an electric candle lighter with a magnetic USB charging cord (Candle lighter is around $15 and good for thousands of uses), is actually notably more convenient and affordable than the butane alternatives.I purchased this hemp ball in August of last year, and it is now July 22, and I have about a foot left of the hemp cord. In the past year I have completely ceased using lighters, and continue to light my pipe upward of 15-20 times a day with virtually no exception.. many more times on some days. I would say, at minimum, I have achieved 6000 uses from this one ball of hemp.Initially I was concerned about ash residue and hassle, however, I found that by extinguishing the wick with my bare fingers, the ashes are easy to control, and I can use the electric candle lighter to light the hemp ball, then light my pipe with only marginally more effort than it would have taken with a lighter.. worst case scenario, I can always let the wick burn while I put down the sparker to pick up the pipe, but I don't find it that challenging to juggle. The primary drawback, to some, of this system is that I have a charred callous where I extinguish the fire which can be a conversation starter. If you kept a slightly damp sponge in an ash tray you could accomplish the same goal without marking your fingers.Health wise, I'm indifferent.. most of the butane burns up, and hemp and candle wax put off carcinogens, so I view them both as very minor potential health hazards.I do like not having to go buy new lighters, and throw away used ones. Even with refillable lighters, they all fail fairly quickly, and there's still butane bottles left to dispose of.

If you're using this for smoking, the one thing you should know how thin this wick is that it's considerably thinner than RAW's wick. Due to this, the flame is smaller and cooler then RAW, and makes it slightly easier to corner bowls. The bee's wax is very slow burning and performs very well with small and medium size flames. With an average size flame for this wick, it produces is a smoke that is thin and soft and easy to inhale. Adds no additional flavor.

I just got into wick burning, so im no professional by means but boy is this stuff interesting. That set aside, the wax burns nicely around the wick an is actually pretty dang good smelling. It smells better than a birthday candle for sure. As for the wick burn time, it burns for quite a while too. It takes a little more time to get goin because of all the wax, but thats good. Some hemp out there have a very pungent or sometimes a barn yard smell, but this one does not as said above but I cant stress it enough. The mix of the wax an hemp is a very good combination an you can tell its a quality product all the way from the feel, to the packaging. All in all, nice job guys, I definitely want to try more.

If you're window shopping for hemp wick, you might be like me, looking at all the prices and differences in products. You might notice how this one is a tad more expensive compared to the length that other sellers give for a similar price. You might notice, then, how this is a much more natural looking product, and it is absolutely coated with bees wax (not to mention it came in its own zip lock bag). The only other wick I have used is the one that came with my lighter attachment, and that was not nearly as high quality/natural looking as this stuff. The other stuff burnt like rope, whereas this burns more slowly and has a better smell in my opinion. So yeah, you can cheap out and probably get twice the length at the same price, but do you really need that much wick? Not to mention, those wicks are cheaply made and might just burn at 2x the speed of this wick.If you wanted my pick, it would be twisted bee all day; I think it's worth it. I would be lying if I wasn't curious to test the other brands, but this isn't really a product i want multiples of.

I was quite sceptical at first, especially regarding the extreme price point of 17 euros at the time. But then I saw how well it works and how much it improves the quality of the smoke (I use it to light up herbal cigarettes) and how easy it is to use. Also, it is such a huge amount of wick, if you smoke a cigarette a day for 10 years youre not going to be remotely done with this wick. I recommend it.

FOR SMOKING REVIEWTastes smooth for smoking dry tobacco, or like, products.Lights easily, ie: from lighters or candles.Quickly gets raging, or just hot burning. Can be controlled in short lengths. Some crumble when unraveling from spool. Otherwise, just occasionally, when tweaked.Personally, I've had other hemp ropes for burning. Some better, some worse.Have about 2' wrapped around a small cardboard tube.Keep excess in sealed contained. Jar or bag.4 of 5. Worth the buy.
