Considering this is a fairly hard plant to grow from seed, these worked well. We did a stratification on a moist paper towel for 30 days and 60 days. Both seemed to germinate well. I can't give exact numbers because I didn't need 100, so I doubled and sometimes tripled them up.What I didn't realize is that these can stay small for a long time if the conditions aren't right. They grew quickly to about 1" in height and then just worked on their tap root for a while before growing any further. I started these in a greenhouse, and they essentially just made the tap root during that time. Now they are outside plugging away, but the first year they didn't grow much at all. Maybe 4-5" at most. I am in zone 3 in Fairbanks so our growing season is short. We will see if they take off this year.

I have tried 14 seeds at a time to try and get this started. I tried to take my time with each batch. I was excited about these and so far I haven't got one seed to grow. yes I soaked the seeds for 24 hours, I stratified the seeds I placed them in a warm setting, and watered. I should have saved my money and put it towards a tree not seeds. I really needed these trees.

I mixed a sandy soil mix and seeded 6 spruce seeds into a portion of a celled nursery tray and placed under automatic overhead irrigation. A week or so later, I have 3 sprouts. This was a test run without stratification and I am impressed with germination results.

We are so excited! Roughly 90% germination on these blue spruce tree seeds and they are growing well so far. We are looking forward to growing more as well. Highly recommend!

Sowed 6 seeds in a starter tray. All 6 had germinated within 2.5 weeks, most before 2 weeks.

I was glad I got at least 10% sprouted but none survived the transplanting, bummer.

I watched the company’s video on how to correctly prepare the seeds to sprout and followed it exactly. Not a single seed sprouted. I’m pretty disappointed. I didn’t realize it was so complicated when I ordered them.

The listing says it comes with instruction, yet it don't. Thanks to Google and you tube for letting me know to soak them in warm water for 24 to 48 hours , which can be done with a container of water sitting on a seed starting heat mat, then to put them in the fridge for 4 weeks inside a week paper towel till they sprout.
