This was a great deal for me! 100 cards in excellent condition! I got 5 'expensive' cards: Fires of Mount Doom ($3), Hithlain Rope ($2), Wonder ($1.50), Zealous Conscripts ($1.50), and Faramir, Steward of Gondor ($1.30). The remain 95 cards had a collective price of $47.45 according to archidekt which amounts to about 49¢ per card. GREAT DEAL, PRICE, and CONDITION!!

Delivered very quickly I was happy with the study cardboard box with bubble-wrapped cards inside which included quite a few possible commanders. All cards were in great condition. There were 2 good duplicates but I counted and found 102 cards so I'm not complaining! This is a good deal even compared to Dollarama pack prices - better, in fact.

I don't normally bother to write reviews for products but I was so impressed by the quality of both the product and service that Star City Games is offering I just HAD to let everyone know!Let me begin with the speed at which I received my package. I placed the order for this assortment of rares on a Tuesday expecting to get it 7-15 days later as their estimated arrival date predicted. However, when I woke up on Wednesday morning I had been notified that my package was shipped, I was then pleasantly surprised when I opened my mailbox early Friday morning and saw my package waiting for me. This is all to say, from the time of placing the order to the moment I was sorting through my cards a mere 4 days had passed! That is less than 1/3 the estimated arrival date! Now then let's talk about the package itself. Inside the shipping envelope I found two beautifully packed bundles of cards (50 cards each) taped together with a small paper label letting you know you were a about to open 100 assorted rares. Each bundle is contained within a nice hard plastic case which ensures that all your cards will remain in mint condition through shipping. Inside where also two inserts of an event Star City Games is having to celebrate the release of the newest set to be released and a shipping invoice. Finally let's take a look at the cards. The cards are indeed all rare and there is no duplicates among them, they are from a wide variety of sets ranging from (in my experience) fate reforged to revised with the majority ( 24 cards) from the mirrodin block from 2011-2012. There was only two commander and one conspiracy specific cards which I don't have any use for but might be something others are looking for. The cost of each rare is on average 33 cents with one or two being over a dollar and about 4 being 25 cents according to the average price on Tcgplayer.com bringing the average value of this package to 33 dollars on the cards alone and about 1 dollar per hard plastic shell for a grand total of 35 dollars in value. At a selling price of 21.99 at the time I ordered I came out 13 dollars on top!Star City Games is truly offering a bargain with this assortment of rares so do yourself a favor and place an order today!

Without getting into too much deal, I have played MTG off and on for 22 years. I think most people will be pleased with this IF they understand exactly what they're getting. This is an 'assortment of rares from recent sets' which is different than 'random lots of rares from all prior sets'. They are not truly random and not from all sets. They are in mint condition and shipping was super fast. I bought 10 of these packs and this is what I found in mine (your results could vary). Each pack was about 100 cards, again in mint condition, without any duplicates in a single pack. 7 of the 10 packs were extremely similar including the order the cards came in (about 10% difference in each pack so they are not 100% the same). The remaining 3 packs were almost an entirely different collection, but again about 90% similar among themselves. Ultimately out of the 1,000 cards, I received 260 different cards none of which was more than 7 of a card. Again no single pack had duplicates, I received duplicates because I bought multiple packs. I did get some really fun cards including a couple reprints of some old favorites including Royal Assassin, Shivan Dragon, etc. So how does this deal rate? Well if you buy regular booster packs of 15 cards (about $4.00) you'll get 11 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, and 1 rare or less likely a mythic rare card. A starter deck may have 3- 5 rares but again that's $20 for 60 cards. Either way for $20 you'll get about 5 rare cards and 50-70 common/uncommon/land cards. This $20 pack, gives you 100 rare in this deal (more cards and all rare level for same price). If your experience is like mine, you'll probably not strike it rich with expensive high-demand cards or hard to find 20-year-old cards but this is a really good deal for what it is. My guess is that this is a game store that opens many packs to find and sell the super expensive cards individually but then passes the remaining rares to you at a significantly discounted price in these packs. If you're looking to expand your rare card options in great condition and reliably, then I would recommend picking up a couple of these packs as they are a very good deal for what you get. If you're looking for that super rare, super expensive card or two for a tournament level deck, this is probably not the way to go.
