This stuff is great for tracing patterns. My first try at using tracing paper for sewing was with the dotted tracing paper, which was opaque enough for me not to see any lines very well, even under bright lighting. They were a severe eye strain. The only downside to this is the ability to erase pencil lines. Even with a kneadable eraser, it’s undoable. But, it’s fine, I rarely ever have the need to erase. I like to make use of as much of the paper as possible, so I tape scrap pieces of this to bigger paper pieces when I have very wide pattern pieces. It is also iron-friendly at low settings (and avoiding tape), so folding and stashing the pattern away is no problem.

Do you have that favorite tissue paper sewing pattern that you use repeatedly, but is now becoming threadbare and torn? Quickly, run, don't walk to order this tracing paper. Trace your pattern onto this paper and find you now have a copy of that beloved pattern that is sturdy enough to use over and over, without the propensity to rip, tear or decompose. Foldable, sewable, and sturdy this paper is wonderful.

I know it is not really a fabric like you would think it of fabric.I bought it to line my windows with for two reasons. During the winter I get the sun coming through the windows and burn my plants. With this I can mute that effect plus insulate the bitter cold we get at night. The second reason is I keep a fan blowing towards the windows to circuitlate the warm air at night and the cooler room air during the day. This means I can't close my curtains during the winter. This fabric will not only help to protect my plants but will give me a bit of privacy as well. It is not see through, because it feels to be on the thicker side. So, far I have found it to be easy to work with.I do sew a little. I have a few ideas what I can use this for, too.I am very pleased, I will be buying more, and I do highly recommend it for everyone, because I can think a whole bunch of uses for it!

I have been sewing for nearly 60 years and I have never found a product as satisfactory as this one. Some of my favorite patterns are very old and the tissue is all but destroyed. I have added tape along the cutting lines but the tape gets stiff and is hard to flatten. This product is absolutely wonderful. It is soft and you can easily see the grain lines and all instructions. I wrote all notes in ball point pen and it worked very well. It will help me greatly with all pattern transfers. I will be ordering a few more rolls immediately. I highly recommend this product.

I am so excited about this tracing fabric. It’s sturdy and seems like it’s going to hold up a lot better than my original patterns. This is also great for the patterns I’ve bout in pdf form and printed on printer paper. Now I can trace each pattern individually.

This product is excellent for copying and making my own sewing patterns. I always have to make adjustments on my commercial patterns and I don't have to cut them up and try to tape them back together--they are made with such thin paper! This is an excellent product and I enjoy working with it. It is see through enough to lay over the patterns and copy the lines but strong enough that I don't have to worry about ripping it. I haven't tried washing it or sewing it, yet, so I can't say how that works. It seems to be an excellent company, also.
