I've been looking for a cotton buff with a 1/4" shank. I ignored the reviews and ordered these as I couldn't find anything else. How can anyone sell these as buffing tools? They're not soft, they don't absorb polish. They're basically petrified cotton balls.

A friend of ours had a garage fire which spread to part of the house. Most items are covered by insurance but when it came to his firearms, they would not cover the damage. He asked if I could possibly restore them for him. I purchased these to polish the barrels and trigger guards - when he saw them - he said they were better than even before the fire - great polishing set.

I needed buffers that wouldn’t disintegrate in my 1/4” die grinder. Using them and black buffing compound I put a mirror shine on a knife I made for my wife.

Product is very well made and held up to a very deep clean on some aluminum wheels I had. You definitely get your money's worth

Not as soft as what I was expecting. Too hard for me to polish aluminum.
