Perfect fitment, have not tried the mantles so can't speak on them. They look good though.

Fit perfect onto my Coleman propane lantern. Mantles work pretty good other than I had a couple that the tie strings broke when putting them on

The listing said the globe has a 4.1 inch diameter, and 4.4 inches height. The actual globe is 4 1/8" diameter and 4 3/8" height with a slight rim, which should enhance its strength. The Coleman 214A0461 globe in Coleman 285 lantern is 4 3/16" x 4 1/2". Thus, this globe's diameters are about those stated, though its actual height is 1/8 inch less than the Coleman globe in the model 285. That 285 globe would have fit better if it were 4 1/4 inches wide; and this globe wiggles slightly due to its somewhat smaller size. The propane mantles included are smaller than those sold by Coleman for the liquid fuel models 285 and 288. I suspect this globe and the mantles would be a closer fit to the Coleman propane lanterns. Overall, this is a well made globe, and I'm giving it 5 stars because of its actual dimensions were consistent with its listing and because I suspect it and the mantles would be a good fit for Coleman propane lanterns.

Handy package containing the two most fragile components of a propane lantern. The glass can be easily broken if handled roughly during transit or dropped and the mantle basically become ash after the first use and are prone to disintegrating if bumped or touched or the lantern is handled roughly. Without the glass, the wind and elements get to the mantle and destroy it and the lantern won't function without mantles! Good take-along kit to keep the lantern operational throughout the camping trip!

I have had the coleman liquid fuel lanterns for many years and it is always a hit or miss with the mantles breaking or making it through the journey to and from, so I always keep a set of spare mantles on hand. I have only shattered one globe so far but I decided to keep a spare set on hand along with many mantles. For the price it is a solid deal considering the price of real coleman globes. However they are made in germany and are of high quality. This lantern globe looks nice, we will have to see how it compares to coleman in the long run. Solid overall for spare or replacements.

The items came extremely well packaged.The glass cover is very slightly smaller than the OEM cover, but still fits well and looks good on my propane lantern.The mantles look legit, although I wasn't able to test them due to me running out of propane fuels.Overall of you happen to need both items it is definitely a good deal.

As a Scout leader, our unit has several propane lanterns that we use on camping trips. The scouts are not always the most gentle or attentive, and sometimes just driving on rough roads in the mountains will jostle things to break. I used the last of our replacement mantles on the last trip, and don't currently have a backup glass (they don't break nearly as often). For the price ($16 at time of review) this is a great value vs buying a globe and mantles separately. The glass is packed in a very protective honeycomb paper sleeve and in a snug fit cardboard box. The mantles are the traditional drawstring / tie variety, not the metal clip type. Be prepared!
