I know how the wire threaders work, but I wish there had been some instructions as to how to use the "fish".

All of these threaders are easy to use. They save time because you can thread your needle quickly and get back to sewing.

the small green threaders are really too small to use. But the other ones will be fine

I did not like the fish type needle threaders they are way too small and the hook on end doesn't hold the thread well always slipping off the threader before you can get the needle threaded.
