Used as a pair these should be great for most applications. However, in my case, I needed only the male side but find that the color coding is reverse of my existing devices. There is apparently no rule for this but generally positive is pin 1 and these have negative there.

JST ConnectorsThese are quality JST connectors, they have a good quality silicone coating, flexible and durable and easy to remove by hand.They snap together very snugly.Note these are not the type of JST connectors that you find on 1s lipos.

I use JST connectors in my Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects. This is a nice set of 10 M-F pairs. Quality is good. The wires are 9 cm long with about 4 mm of tinned exposed wire on the end. Very handy, no negatives that I can see.
