This Video Transceiver with Power is a passive (non-amplified) device that allows the transmission of real-time monochrome or color video over Unshielded Twisted-Pair(UTP)telephone wire.
Baseband (composite) signals of any type are supported.
This video transceiver allows transmission of CCTV video and low voltage power over UTP cable.
Power and Video are routed via UTP and RJ45 connections.
Its unparalleled interference rejection and low emissions allows video signals to co-exist in the same wire bundle as telephone, datacom, or low-voltage power circuits.
This allows the use of a shared or existing cable plant.

Note: Power Voltage Drop Calcutlation:
For 12V DC 1Amp, Cable distance should not exceed 90ft/27m.
For longer distance, we suggest use 14V, 16V, 18V, 20-48V DC power supply

Muy fácil conectar camaras CCTV con estos balunes. Paso el cable, poncho el cable con conector RJ-45 (T568B o A) en ambos extremos, energizo la cámara y finalmente compruebo la señal. Producto recomendado, Ahorro tiempo en la conectorizacion.

I take it most people with issues are not using them as intended. We have zero failures once installed. We have had a few cases (plastic cases) come open. We typically discard them (although they can be glued back together). They are cheap as they get. They work great and again zero failures. People say that they do not work: check your connections and cable type. Do not use CCA, use solid copper. use Category 5e and we run up to 110-120 feet.

The baluns work very well, but they are VERY large in size. If you are going to use these on a CCTV system, just be aware that they will be difficult to conceal or fit into standard sized conduit boxes. Out of the 10 pairs, 1 pair was defective. I was able to request a replacement from Amazon, but they sent me another box of 10. Overall, this is a good product, but they could have been made with smaller form factor.

Using HD CVI cameras, I find it much easier to run CAT5 than coax. It also allows the installation without a separate power supply. Highly recommend this item.
