Super heavy duty, super thick rubber, most likely going to be overkill unless you're moving 3,000 lb plus. If you are moving that much weight then these are the wheels you need. The swivel wheels work great and the stationary wheels track fine. I use this on a homemade dolly made from 2x6s and 2x4s and I have no complaints or issues. This thing will roll over all of my transition strips, through carpet, over rocks pebbles and any other small debris without issue. The tires are pneumatic but they feel so hard they could be solid rubber tires. Good solid wheels.

Hot diggity! I got these to use on our fence gate when we get to that part of the journey. My husband wants to install a sliding gate, rather than a swing gate, because the gate will be at the top of a hill. A swing gate would come out over the incline and would have nothing underneath it to help hold it up because the ground will have literally gone out from underneath it.A sliding gate will keep the gate level along the top of the slope and these casters are going to help keep it up. I love that they're so big and rugged because that sturdiness is going to help keep an entire wood panel. They roll well and I have no doubt they'll glide right over the grassy area where they'll be stationed. The tread looks like it will handle any ups and downs just fine. Overall, I'm pretty happy.

I did not find any visible defects upon unboxing. These are pneumatic tires, so you need to maintain air pressure in them, just like your car tires. That is one of their strengths as well as a weakness. It makes it easy to roll over many types of terrain, but you need to check the air pressure constantly. Then you also have a possible problem with a leak/flat tire. Double-edged sword.I am using these on a free standing tool stand that I need to move from smooth floors to grassy areas. These tires work great for that. They roll over smooth and rough terrain just fine. Just be aware that I did find one skid mark on a concrete floor, so just be aware that these could potentially leave some black marks on your floor when moving them around.I am keeping the max air pressure (30psi) in them for ease of movement. If you need a "softer" ride, you can use less air pressure. They look and feel heavy duty, and should hold a good amount of weight (880 lbs according to the description). They are very heavy in weight, and I was surprised just how heavy the box was. Amazon did a good job packing, as they over-boxed the package from the factory which was somewhat torn up from shipping from the factory to Amazon. Luckily, the casters were not damaged, just the inner box.There is no bolts/screws included, so you will need to provide those yourself. I am using carriage bolts with nylon nuts (airplane nuts) to hold them to the wooden bottom of the tool stand, and keep them from vibrating loose.My only 2 concerns is that these casters have no brakes on them, and I'm not sure about how they will hold up in the long term. Since these are on a tool stand, it is important it not move around when in use. I had to make stops to put behind the tires so the stand won't move. It would have been nice if these casters had brakes on them to prevent the stand from moving. For the price, I would have expected brakes to have been part of the design. To be fair, they did not show brakes in the description, but it is a shame they were not built-in to make these casters more useful. Also, only time will tell how well these casters will work over the long term. I have had problems in the past with the ball bearings falling out of heavy duty casters after a while, so I will wait to give judgement on that potential issue.Overall, I am pleased with these casters. With the exception of not designing/including brakes for these casters, the price is what I would expect for what you get.
