Fin Friends patented aquarium divider was designed to finally solve the problem of separating aggressive fish, sick fish, baby fish (Not for babies under 1") or just different species of fish all in the same tank without needing extra heaters or filtration. These dividers were designed with suction cups that attach on both the top and bottom of the tank that stop even aggressive fish from bullying their way through. We have tested this divider with 1inch fry for 2 months now without any escaping. The design features two side rails that attach to a plastic mesh with push pins, making it impossible for the mesh to come free. The side rails attach to the side of the tank with 2 suction cups on each side, and a top and bottom rail are added for extra support. After raising many fish ourselves, we needed a way to divide our fry without having to worry about the divider failing. We created this divider and know it works because we use it ourselves. This Divider will fit most 29 gallon and 55 gallon tanks. It will not fit tanks that are wider than 10 inches or shorter than 12 inches. Please measure your tank before purchasing!

I'm sure some of it was user error but it came so rolled tight that unrolling it to pin and place it took forever. Then it was too wide so I had to trim on both sides. Eventually I couldn't trim anymore. When I put it in my tank the pressure was too much and broke the glass. I need a new tank now.

I only tried this 10 gallon divider after I picked up the 55 gallon version on a trade. The 55 gallon divider 100% fits and works. Now granted it bulges a little in the middle but I don't care! The fish cannot get through to the other side! I've wasted atleast $250 ON TANK DIVIDERS THAT JUST DIDNT FIT RIGHT. I believe where it has a little give in the middle is what gives it such a snug fit. The 10 gallon is the same way! I use it to keep shrimp separate! Stick with this company!

This product was easy to assemble but is not made for a 10 gallon tank. It shattered the glass within minutes and flooded my house. Now I have to go buy a new tank. ITS NOT FOR A 10 GALLON, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

This is one of the only black options (best for bettas) available to buy. It was mostly easy to assemble. The little pins are not absolutely necessary (I ordered 2 dividers and one didn’t come with pins, you can live without them if you end up getting one missing the pins so don’t worry).The “cons”They come rolled up so the “flexible rubber/plastic” doesn’t lay perfectly straight, not a huge deal but not perfectMy biggest issue is that it doesn’t allow hardly any water circulation to flow between the divider so I had to get 2 separate power filters for each side of my aquarium (hence only 4 out of 5 stars for me)All in all, I’m happy with this.

This worked really well on my 10g tank for 2 male betas. I did have to trim it a little bit to fit, but I saw that others had issues with it being too small and leaving a gap, so I trimmed a little bit at a time until it was perfect. The suction has held great. The pins were useless but I’m finding that they were unnecessary anyways. I’m really happy with our setup now.

I purchased this product for my Top Fin 10g aquarium. The divider needed to be assembled and it most certainly wasn’t the easiest task. The edges I received were bent up making it very difficult for the divider to slide into. The divider came rolled up and was so sturdy that it made it difficult to flatten out using the bent edges. I was finally ready to place my divider in the aquarium only to realize it was too wide and had to be trimmed. Once the divider was finally able to fit in my aquarium I noticed my smaller fish were able to swim right through the gaps where the suction cups were. The suction caps left too much space between divider and glass. Just an overall poor design and waste of money. Didn’t bother trying to return bc I had to cut the divider to fit in my tank. A true waste :-(

It’s a little smaller (approximately 1/4”) than listed but it still works just fine. I use it as a platform for my Axolotls and it doubles as a “cave” for darkness in my 55 long.

I love this divider! So far I have bought 2 of these for each of my 10 gallon tanks that house a betta on each side. The bettas can sometimes get a glimpse at each other and flare a little but then they just swim off after they get bored. This divider is very sturdy and looks nice in my tanks, I've had no problems getting it to fit. You'll probably want to have a filter on each side though (or at least a filter and an airstone), as water does travel through the holes but not very easily which would probably lead to dirty water.When I get more aquariums I'll definitely buy some more.
