It said it fit a 2006 mk5 vw gti gas cap..it doesn't fit at all the threads doesn't even match up

It looks and functions just like the original part that broke. The installation is straightforward, although at colder temperatures plastic gets hard and it was a bit of a challenge. So far, no leaks and no CEL either. Fingers crossed.
