This product feels high quality and is overall easy to use. The cable is tough and definitely grips well if you can get enough of the wire inside of it which can sometimes be difficult. With that being said, I give the product 3 stars because I question how useful it really is for the average person. The length provided is accurate, but really doesn't reach that far overall compared to a cable snake. Also, like another review has mentioned, the end loop is quite thick and isn't going to help much with getting through tight spaces. I'm sure it has its use in specific cases, but for most people I feel like it would be better just to use a cable snake and tape which has worked for me in just about every situation I've been in. This product isn't particularly expensive, but it could add up if you're needing to buy multiple different grip sizes. Overall, it is well made and will perform its job, but may not be a necessary tool for most people as other things can do similar things but may useful in more situations compared to this.

This cable pulling grip is well made and works. For $12 it's an easy recommendation.

As advertised, this 18-25mm cable puller grabs wires up to just about 1 inch in diameter. The 12-14mm size grabs wires up to about 3/4" in diameter. The pulling loop is a little large to get through smaller holes, but it was easy to hammer down to a flatter loop so it fits through all sizes of holes.

I have a solar project this spring and have a number of wires to pull through about 275' of conduit

I’ve been using the blue tape method for bundling into my tape or pole for the past couple years. It works ok but is a mess. I added an outlet and used this to grab the 12/2 line I ran. It worked exactly as advertised. It’s a little fiddly but does work once the tension is ok. Is it going to replace blue tape? Not for difficult pulls but I’ll use this first and move to tape if it’s just not working for me.

I JUST got this and excitedly evaluated what I can do with it for an upcoming job pulling 3 runs of Category 5e ethernet cable through a 1/2" wiremould raceway. YES, THIS WILL WORK beautifully for 2, 3. or 4 Cat5e cables - they all fit into the sock - it's a little bit of a wrestle to get 4 in, but minor and then you're all good.I'm using 10 year old bulk Cat5e cable I have lying around with a pretty thick jacket - it's not super thin riser grade cable, so you might be able to pull as many as 5 with this sock with thinner cable.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. Totally burly and works like a charm!

The electrical wire puller sock is a very effective way to 'trap' your wires under tension and pull them through a conduit. It is much better than taping your wire puller alone, making for a more streamlined and flexible connection. A pro-tip is to twist the wire ends together and apply a little take to smooth any edges that could protrude through the mesh.

This cable puller is per the product description. It grips the advertised cable sizes (9 to 12mm OD) well without slipping while under tension. I found it gripped 12-2 w/ground Nomex solid strand wire, whether round or flat, easily and well with no slippage. No electrical tape wrap was needed, though I usually add a wrap or two just for insurance. This puller also held 10-3 w/ground tenaciously, though it was a little harder to load into the puller sleeve (it is right at the max 12mm wire diameter). I also tried 14-2 w/ground flat Nomex ( 8.7 x 4.7mm) which is smaller than the rated capacity. It did not hold well unless I added two electrical tape wraps, one at the end and one in the middle of the puller, as shown in the attached photo. With the two tape wraps it held the 14-2 well, even though it is smaller than the intended capacity. This puller does what it is supposed to do within its stated capacity (and a bit more with a little help). One note: the description pictures show dimensions in mm. The actual dimensions are cm ( 35.5 cm /15.5”).
