This tank pad is being used to keep a 200ah lithium battery from freezing. The battery is in an insulated compartment which helps immensely. This pad is mounted to a metal sheet next to the battery, not directly on the plastic battery case. The battery does have low temperature cut off as well. I still unplug the RV when temps are consistently below 20F degrees, but I probably am being overly cautious. The included thermostat turns on the pads a few degrees above freezing, and that works out fine. I just need enough heat in the compartment to keep the battery cells from freezing.

Great holding tank heater. I installed this heater onto my fresh water holding tank to keep it from freezing during the winter time. It was easy to install and wire-up and with it being thermostat controlled it stops the tank from getting to hot.

I ordered this as a precautionary measure since we are traveling in our RV this winter. We have heard horror stories from other campers about tanks freezing & cracking so this seems like the perfect solution. This pad is adhesive backed so it's very easy to install. We let the pad sit flat in the sunshine for a little while. After that, we removed the backing & attached it to the bottom of our fresh water tank. The pad runs on 12 VDC so it can be run directly to the battery. The wiring & a thermistor is provided with the pad. The pad will work automatically between 35 & 48 degrees F & stop heating between 52 & 66 degrees F.Overall, this is a great product & is very helpful to prevent tank freezing but I would prefer that it have an inline switch so that I can just turn it off at the end of the season (strictly for peace of mind). As it is, we will probably disconnect it from the battery when we do not need it but a would be more convenient though.

I'm building an RV for rental purposes and a heating pad is needed for the fresh water tank on subfreezing nights. This pad is thinner and lighter than expected, which fits perfectly for a truck camper that will have a dry weight of less than 800 lbs. Insulation will be placed beneath the pad, so it should do a very good job of preventing ice in the fresh water holding tank. Priceless!!

This heating pad works fine. My thermal camera shows it's not the most even heat, but for a water tank it really doesn't matter. My only issue was that for my application I ended up needing a different thermostat and if you cut off the one that comes with it you've only got about an inch of wire left to work with.

Instead of an RV water tank, I am using this inside a battery box to keep a 100ah LifePO4 battery that lives in my truck bed in proper temperature range for charging. I love that it has an onboard thermostat so I don't have to install my own. It comes on well before freezing so I'm never in the danger zone. One tip, be sure you are good and ready when you peel the backing away from the adhesive, at it is VERY sticky and will not come off again if you misalign.

I’m glad I got the tank heater installed before our first really cold freeze of the year. The pad works great and is easy to install. Much easier than I was expecting. Good value and works great.

I really like how this has a temp sensor on it so once turned on it works when needed.
