This wool is not suitable for spinning, it’s all small pieces.

excellent product. I'm using it for nesting material in the backyard, and it seems to well suited for this purpose.

Really dirty. Full of all kinds of questionable stuff. I work with wool all the time and find some organic matter from time to time but this was over the top for me.

Has some debris, but it wasn't that excessive. I'm not sure what people expect when getting "raw" wool, but it's really a great batch. No smell and a decent amount for the price

I ordered this to use for stuffing children's toys, to replace the microplastic-leaching poly fiberfill that our kids are generally surrounded with. Wool is such a great fiber: it's naturally fire retardant and it's a renewable resource in the truest sense of the word. And this is a great use for "trash" wool - the leavings deemed too low quality for sale to the garment industry or the usual wool buyers. It could also be used as soil additive to help retain moisture in houseplants (similar to perlite). Unfortunately it seems that this brand isn't produced in the USA or a country with environmentally friendly practices in wool processing. So while it's better than the alternative as a stuffed animal filler or perlite replacement, it's still questionable whether it's helpful to the environment or fair for the American rancher whose wool is processed according to rigorous standards. And yet it's still relatively expensive. It's wool, so that's something; that gets it three stars.

This is raw wool, exactly as pictured, great for beginners to learn spinning to make yarn. Or great for felting. Doesn’t really have a smell to me, but easy to work with. Comes in tight compressed packaging, has some weight to it. Came packaged nicely, no damages, shipped on time.

As the description includes- this is washed raw wool. To some people that might not be what raw wool is because it is without some of the lanolin but for my purposes it's fine. I like using wool for stuffing rather than poly fills and this works well for me!

This has been washed and stripped of the oils. I already knew going in this was massively over priced, and now it’s not worth it at all.
