MyShoeCovers Fracture Walking Shoe and Boot Cover is designed and manufactured to fit over Walking Braces, CAM Walkers, Walking Boots, Night Splints, Surgical and Orthopedic shoes and boots. Our goal is to provide a simple quality product that will be useful throughout your recovery process.
The sole of our Walking Boot Cover is made of a special rubberized fabric coated with tiny rounded bumps in a linear pattern for strong grip so you can feel safe and secure. The upper of our cover is made of high quality thick water-resistant fabric (not waterproof and should not be used to protect cast during a shower or a bath).
Frequently asked questions:
- Is the cover sole going to wear through if I wear it outside for long distances on concrete and/or crushed gravel? YES. It should only be used for short outdoor trips and distances.
- How do I get the right size? Order a size larger than your boot size. Boot size for most brands can be found on the bottom tread or a size tag sewn into the foam liner. Example: Walking Boot size Medium will be covered with Walking Boot Cover size Large.
- Is the cover waterproof? No. The cover is water-resistant but not waterproof. If you step in a puddle or expose the cover to a heavy rain/snow the water will go through the stiches or the elastic opening.
- Can I wear the cover over my cast? No. We don't recommend the cover for cast. It is designed to go over Walking Boot or Shoe.
- What will I get? 1 Walking Boot Cover included. Medical boot not included.

I was in the walking boot for months! Through winter and rainy season! Kept my boot clean walking in the sand and dirt in the barn, dry when walking in the rain. Best thing ever!

Waited to write this to see how well the cover held up. After 6 1/2 weeks of hard daily use it shows little wear. I wore it doing chores twice a day - in the barn, feeding livestock and walking across a gravel yard. It slips on the walking boot easily and stays put. It was washed off twice a day (because, well, livestock...). Not pretty but it works!

I bought this cover for two reasons - to protect my boot when I went outside, and to keep my boot from transferring dirt and debris from outside into the house. Before the cover I had to clean the underside of the boot every time I came back home, as I also had to wear it in the house. The cover made it much more convenient - just remove the cover when you enter your home, and you are good to go inside. I wish I had bought it sooner!

I read the reviews for walking boot covers and this one seemed to be the best. Very good fit and it just came up high enough to cover the bottom and sides. They recommended going one size up from your boot size and this was accurate. This one was more expensive but if you want quality and something that won’t tear this is the one.

First, the cover is very easy to put on. Secondly, the material is of good quality. This surprised us. And finally, it protects the boot from rain and snow and is a good shield against the winter cold.

The price was right and they just slip right over the boot so I can wear them over my boot outside and when I take them off MY BOOTS have a clean bottom. The elastic holds well but still stretch’s easily to put over my boot.

These worked great over the aircast I had to wear for 2.5 months. I don’t wear shoes in the house, so I was really looking for something to wear on the aircast when I went out. I had to sleep in the aircast and was grossed out by the thought of wearing the same boot that I used outside then to bed. This works well and protected my bootfrom getting dirty and wet when outside.

I wear this cover over my walking boot. I had foot surgery a little over 5 weeks ago. Take care of your feet because foot surgery is the worst! Anyway, if you’re reading this, you’ve got something going on with your lower extremities. So, sorry for that. This cover fits nicely over the boot. I have a medium boot and purchased the large cover. It’s a nice and tight fit. I have only worn the cover twice. It was in the earlier weeks of recovery when I wasn’t really putting my foot down much and it was fine. To be fair, I have not walked around in it full weight bearing. It was icy one of the times I was out with it and I was super scared. It felt very slippery. I had my crutches and my husband but I still wouldn’t be comfortable in this if there was potential for ice or black ice. Snow would be better. I go back to work in 6 days so I may need to wear this over the boot to get into work if it’s rainy or snowy for another week or so... depending on how nice my surgeon is feeling about me transitioning to shoes. If it was icy I’d probably just wear the boot uncovered for the traction on the bottom. I certainly think this cover is a great value and does well enough. It’s helpful when you’re in a not to helpful situation. It helps when you have a leg or foot out of the game that you’d like to keep dry. I would imagine a downpour and heavy snow would go right through the cover but certainly for a quick walk to and from inside it’s fine. I think if you were walking a few blocks or a mile this would eventually come apart over time. Which isn’t unreasonable as it’s just a cover. It will certainly also keep your boot clean and debris away from the lower openings.

I love love love this shoe cover. I've only worn it 3 times so far so I cant speak to it's sturdiness but I can say it's kept me dry and clean. I had bought this expecting to be in an aircast following my surgery. I tried it on an older aircast I had to see how it fit and it was perfect. By surprise I was put into a walking shoe instead of the aircast and was concerned that the cover would be too large. I wear a size small therapeutic walking shoe and I had bought the size large cover. It fit perfectly. The shoe cover is so well designed it accommodated both a smaller size therapeutic footwear as well as the larger. I live in Maine and have a lot of snow on the ground so I needed something to keep the snow away from my foot as well as provide a bit of warmth. This did both. Definitely follow the guidelines in sizing. If you're covering a short aircast buy a large. It's right on. Strongly recommend this product. If it should let me down once using it for a longer period of time I'll type an addendum to this review.
