No more bent pegs while playing Horeshoe's. Long enough and strong enough to drive down deep. Unfortunately, they will rust, but that's part of the game. Arrived on time and very heavy.

This is exactly what it represents itself to be. This is quality steel. I will be cutting it down to make tool rest posts for wood lathes. It's nice to be able to order smaller sizes of steel over the internet and not have to get in your pickup, drive 20 miles, and pay the same per pound.

I put this shaft into the freezer over night and I still couldn't get it pressed into the 1" bearings. Then I read somewhere that you need to use a press. Like I have one of those! When I read 1" shaft I assume that 1" bearings will fit without needing 20 tons of force. I ended up getting a 25mm shaft instead. Maybe I can find some 1.002" bearings somewhere so I can use this....

It turns out that the seller is actually in my region and I'll likely reach out to them for future work. I liked that this was a US company and not shipping from overseas. I was able to buy close to the length I needed instead of the nearest foot - saving me some money and lessening wasted product.
