About this item

  • IP67 Waterproof: The circular dial is enclosed in a 304 stainless steel case for corrosion resistance. The PRV-Tex Vent design can reduce fogging of windows inside or moisture damage from the infiltrating water such as being installed in environments exposed to moisture or rain. Offer clear reading and rain-resistant.
  • Wetted Materials: lead free brass, stainless steel, and food grade silicone sealing ring. Suit for measuring potable drinking water pressure.
  • Compatible with water pump, drip irrigation pressure regulator, RV tank, pipe tester, outdoor spigot, hose faucet, garden hose, regulator valve, washing machine outlets, ice maker, RO system, sprinkler, etc.
  • The red max pointer allows you to record spikes in pressure when you are away from the gauge. Just adjust the red max pointer to rest above the black pointer before testing your pressure. When the gauge reads pressure the black hand will drag the red max pointer and the pointer will record the max pressure seen on the gauge. To reset the max pointer, just turn it down to zero above the black pointer and test again. The structure adopts a long-lasting design to support 10,000 times of use.
  • Measures pressure with dual scale (0-200 psi/0-14 bar). Display accuracy is + or - 3/2/3% over the entire range of the gauge. 3/4" female hose thread(FHT) is typically utilized in garden hose thread(GHT).

Why SENCTRL PRV-Tex Series?

  • The SENCTRL PRV-Tex series pressure gauges adopt the PRV-Tex Vent design, make these models an ideal solution for many pressure measurement installations. Enable pressure compensation and waterproof at the same time. Offer a clear reading and weather resistant.

Why is waterproof important?

  • Sometime the pressure gauge need to be installed in environments exposure to moisture or rain, such as swimming pool and outdoor gardan. If the gauge is not water tight, the infiltrating water will condense inside and cover the surface of glass with small drops of water and make it difficult to see through or reflect a clear reading. Ultimately cause moisture damage and reduce the service life of gauge.

Liquid-filled pressure gauges are also waterproof, so why not choose liquid-filled gauge?

  • First, liquid leakage will cause contamination or danger, especially in food and drinking water safety applications.
  • Second, it will affect the accuracy of the readings. For ≤300 psi pressure ranges, sealed gauges require some type of vent valve, compensating membrane, or other mechanism for pressure compensation. Otherwise, changes in ambient temperature such as direct sunlight would distort the measured pressure. (No compensation is necessary in gauges with >300 psi pressure ranges, as the pressure built up inside the case is negligible in relation to the full scale range.)
  • Third, the filling liquid will affect the applicable temperature of the pressure gauge. For example, the viscosity of glycerin will become very high at low temperature, so that the pointer of the pressure gauge cannot move.

How to choose the right scale range?

  • The user must ensure that the appropriate pressure gauge has been selected in terms of scale range and design. The scale range is optimally selected when the operating pressure lies in the middle third of the scale range.

Where are PRV-Tex series pressure gauge used?

Examples include:

  • Pumps and compressors
  • Filter regulators
  • Fluid power equipments
  • Pool and spa filters
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • OEM equipment
  • Beverage dispensing equipment, coffee espresso
  • Industrial machinery
  • Outdoor use

Bought this to monitor water pressure peaks. The City is replacing the Water Meters with an Electronic transmitting type. The new Water Meters have a backflow valve. So IF your Water Heater doesn't have an external Expansion Tank, the heating of the water expands and the extra pressure has no where to go. Because of this, of the 3 Houses on our street got the Electronic Meters and two of the Houses had their Water line between the Water Meter and House burst. Ours was one of them. The City takes no responsibility since it's after the Meter. So I installed a new line and a pressure regulator. With is set at 55 PSI, the pressure jumps to 90 - 95 PSI due to the expansion of the heated water. We have a Water Heater Expansion Tank on order. Anyway this gauge with the highest pressure peak Lazy Hand confirmed my suspicion. This Gauge is accurate. My Neighbor has a very expensive certified Pressure Gauge and they match up well. The Pressure Gauge appears to have a glass window but cannot confirm it for certain. Stainless Steel too. This Pressure Gauge is perfect. Order this and "if" your Water Heater lacks an Expansion Tank, I would recommend installing one. It could save you from a broken Water Line. The Plumber want $8200 to replace the Water Line. I replace the section that burst myself for under $500 in supplies.

Used it to measure on my water heater outlet faucet. Now I need to find adapters that will fit with my kitchen and bathroom faucets.Nice that it has a 2nd hand to set main pressure reading.

After using this to check water pressures in our community water system, this appears to be a very nice, solidly built gauge. The lazy needle is very useful for recording the highest pressure experienced. There is no statement of accuracy or reference to calibration, but the documentation listed calibration and repair services available, so I just have to trust that the manufacturer uses due diligence in manufacturing to recognized standards. That being said, the pressure readings appear to be appropriate for the various locations and elevation changes and is very useful in managing our water system. Time will tell how durable this unit is, but first impressions are very good.

This item works. Resistance on red needle very good much better than the Watt gauges that have no resistance.

I was in need of a quality, cost effective water pressure type test gauge, in a hurry, and this item caught my eye regarding its description, pressure range, cost, and its ready availability. It arrived quickly, as was one of my criteria. I also love the lazy hand feature as it is quite useful — at least to me. It is extremely easy to install and apparently quite accurate. For me, it has performed flawlessly and no unpleasant leakage. It should prove its usefulness and value, to me, for years to come!
