Ok, so the good. It connects like 95% of the time. It has a stellar mounting system. The screen is clear, and easy to set up and use.The bad: the microphone built in is garbage. Buy a plug in one. The "line out" 3.5mm to aux does not put out very much power. The radio casting is great most of the time but when you get in a major city, there will be interference. It can only be connected by a cigarette lighter plug! This was a disaster for me. And there will be wires EVERYWHERE! cable management is a problem. It will not charge a modern phone in any meaningful way! This is frustrating because it's taking up the charger port! Sometimes it just doesn't connect wirelessly, it's random and I hate it but it's not all the time. YOU HAVE TO SHUT IT OFF! no automatic shut off for this thing at all! Be aware, it's better than nothing, but by far the best on the market. Hopefully you find this helpful.

I got the Wireless CarPlay Car Stereo, and despite a few quirks, I’m giving it 5 stars because it does what I need it to. First off, it’s super lightweight and extremely easy to install. I’m no tech expert, but I had it up and running in no time, which was a huge plus! The sound could be better—it’s not the best I’ve heard—but for the price and convenience, it’s still good enough for casual listening. If you’re super picky about audio quality, you might notice, but for day-to-day use, it works just fine. One minor hiccup was trying to stream a podcast from the Telegram app. For some reason, it wouldn’t connect to the stereo, though all other apps worked without a hitch. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you’re a Telegram user. The touchscreen could feel a little smoother when selecting things, but honestly, once I got used to it, it didn’t bother me much. For the price and all the features it packs in, I’m still super happy with it!All in all, it’s a great product for anyone who wants an affordable, easy-to-use CarPlay system. Definitely worth 5 stars in my book!

I purchased this to replace a "Coral View" unit that died after several years. My old unit was a similar form factor and had its limitations, and i purchased this with the expectation that it would at least be comparable, unfortunately it was not.The unit lags terribly, making it essentially useless as an Apple carplay device. Apple maps were consistently 20 seconds behind, Spotify tracks wouldn't update for the same amount of time. Both of these functions worked fine on my iPhone 13 Pro Max when not tethered to the device, and functioned flawlessly on my old unit. Additionally, the one phone call I attempted to make while using the unit the person on the other end said it sounded like I was on the Apollo moon landing.I submitted for return in 48 hours, ended up spending a little more on a "Car and Driver INTELLIDASH with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 7'' IPS Touchscreen Multimedia Player with Bluetooth, Mirror Link, SiriusXM, Google, Siri Assistant Dash or Windshield Mounted (Wired)" which performs MUCH better.

Edit: customer service was really great. They did try to resolve the issue, but it just would not work with the car. Prompt response and very helpful. So don’t hestitate to try it, just didn’t work for me.Original - Had high hopes after so many positive reviews. This device will not connect via the car’s aux cable. Additionally, there are only 12 options for fm transmission. And none of them pick up a signal as they are all too close to a regular channel in our area. We are not new to fm transmitters and the channel that works in our area is in the 107.5 to 107.9 range. This device only always 88.6-95.7 so it will never work for us. Will be retuning. Only the screen would power on and mirror the phone but could not get any audio

This device comes with the rear-view camera but it seems to need 12v to work, and I have backup cameras anyway do I didn't try and hook this up.Installation was overall very easy. Simply funs a good/safe spot to suction it to your dash or windshield, hook up power, and provide a lightening cable if you plan on using wired car play. The usability of the screen is quite good. It gets decently bright even in direct sun light and you get all the bells and whistles of car play. I did test out some of the multi-media capabilities of the screen but I didn’t find them useful for my personal use case. I just needed something for CarPlay and that’s it.It boots up quicky and will automatically go to car play if you have the lightening cable plugged in. It does this in a matter of seconds, very nice if you want to hop in and go as quicky as possible. For audio the screen has 3 options. It can use a little built-in speaker, tinny but loud and functional, great for interacting with Siri and getting spoken maps directions using something like Waze or Apple Maps. Second option is an FM transmitter, but I would not use this one unless you don't ever plan to make phone calls with this as it would transmit over FM for anyone to possibly hear if they are very close. The 3rd option is an analog AUX audio cable. And I think this is the one most folks should be using if they have an AUX port in their car. Sadly, my car doesn't have that.A little note about usability. If you have a Tesla and want to use your center screen as well as this little screen at the same time the iPhone is pretty smart about it. For the most part all the audio for Car Play will come out of the screen’s speaker, and Bluetooth audio will still come through your car, if you keep BT hooked up to your Tesla and not the screen.Below are some pros and cons of this screen:I think it may be worth it to a Tesla owner who doesn't want to pay premium connectivity or super addicted to Waze. If you have an older car with a basic stereo with AUX in and want to use Car Play or Android Auto, I feel like this is a no brainer.Pros:- Super easy to setup- Can be had for a good price if you can find it on sale- Super-fast bootup time and wired car play (I didn't try wireless)- Decent screen and usable in direct sun light- Also, decent speaker, tinny but loud and clear enoughCon:- Didn't come with a lightening cable.- Power cable that goes to the 12v accessory (cigarette lighter) socket is quite short. I had to use an extension to get it comfortably to my center console.- Instructions are not the best with some minor errors, but it’s pretty straight forward to setup.I did find an oddness where the car play screen while Apple Maps was up would glitch and not update for several seconds at a time with a longer 3rd party cable. I didn't do this with Waze. I switched to an official Apple lightening cable and it seemed to resolve this. So, something to keep in mind.Overall, I am totally satisfied with this device, which is a great addition to my Tesla driving experience.
