I've ordered the same size square rod from Stew-mac in the past to reinforce a classical guitar neck and the one from Stew-mac was much stiffer and higher quality - and more expensive. I would not use these in a classical guitar neck unless I doubled up and used two. I purchased these for a different purpose, and I will be able to make them work by using three rods instead of two. Luckily they are cheap enough to do that and still come out ahead on my project. So, if you need the best, this is not it. They are light and stronger than the same size 6061 aluminum, but not by much.
