Ok so for clarity I use yongnuo products pretty regularly. They get the job done and usually with very little fuss. When I ordered this trigger it was under the impression it was fully compatible with the RF 603 Triggers and that I could use the triggers to activate the shutter. Either you can not or the guidance given from the seller is incorrect. I have RF 603 triggers and they can activate the shutter and that's what I've been using for quite some time.I did ask the question before returning the trigger but got a very vague and general response from the yongnuo store. Further the instructions are printed on a very small (and difficult to read) sheet of paper. Likewise no mention of the trigger actually engaging the shutter were mentioned in the instructions. I know this trigger works great for off camera flash and HSS but my main priority of shutter action was never addressed. Since most of my work is real estate related I have to have that function, it simply isn't an option otherwise.One other issue I ran into that I was not aware of and may help y ou (which is no fault of yongnuo) is that the sony A7III turns off live view when a sony compatible flash or trigger is attached. That's great for some but ambient light must be visible to make my workflow more effective and this trigger disabled the live view function. I don't blame yongnuo at all for that, this is a sony issue, so I guess I'll be sticking with my "dumb triggers" until I find a more viable option.I hear Godox makes some great flashes...
