Fog lights are often a factory option and provide excellent secondary lighting to complement the headlights. Fog lights are especially useful in adverse conditions such as rain, snow and fog, when visibility can be greatly reduced. Fog lights are mounted in a factory predetermined area on the bumper where they look best and do not affect aerodynamics.

Fog lights can come into play when it comes to poor visibility caused by rain, fog, snow, or even excessive dust in the air. This unique beam shape cuts through the fog more easily and illuminates the surface of the road, allowing drivers to see clearly to stay on the road and within their lanes.

Avoid using your high beams if you find yourself driving in poor visibility and the high beams reflect back at you causing a glare or blinding effect.

If your low beams also produce so much glare that you can only see snow, fog, rain or dust, then a good set of fog lights may allow you to actually see the road.
