This XRDS -RF 50A Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect Set has proven to be a reliable and convenient solution for my high-power electrical connections. As someone who frequently works with power equipment, I appreciate the robust design and ease of use these Anderson SB-50 compatible connectors offer. The Anderson-style "genderless" design is a major advantage, eliminating the hassle of dealing with male and female ends. While I've used solder in the past, investing in a hydraulic crimper has significantly streamlined the installation process. These connectors are fully compatible with Anderson SB-50 grey connectors, providing flexibility in my projects. It's crucial to note that these connectors are color-coded and keyed for safety, ensuring that only matching colors can be connected. However, I found it straightforward to modify the red connectors with a utility knife to make them compatible with the grey ones if needed. While the product description states compatibility with 10-12 AWG wires, I successfully used them with 8 AWG solid and stranded wires. However, it's worth mentioning that they may not accommodate 8 AWG flexible fine-stranded wire due to the terminal size. If you want to use 6 AWG or flexible 8 AWG wire, those options are available and fully compatible with these as well. I included a photo compared to a large gauge option.I also love the Anderson Powerpole connectors that are very similar but more compact. They are something to consider if you don't need anywhere near the 50A these can handle. I've started switching to SB50 for anything over 25 amps as I've found the Powerpole connectors can start getting a bit warm and don't have as secure of a connection.Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the performance and versatility of these connectors. The durable construction, ease of installation, and compatibility with Anderson SB-50 connectors make them an excellent choice for various applications, including power equipment, winches, and solar setups.

I needed these connectors to complete the rewiring/reconfiguration work that I was doing to refurbish an old Power Wheels Jeep. The old batteries in that Jeep are out of production and the connectors in the old harness were incompatible with the replacement batteries and fuse holders that I was installing in the Jeep. These connectors were perfect for the job. They are solid, can handle high-amp currents, and are easy to connect and disconnect for charging.

For the price, this is a good deal. At the time of this review, these are $11.99, which works out to $3/connector. The fit and finish of the connectors is pretty good. The terminals are good too. These fit my Anderson style connectors securely. The terminals are good up to 10awg. I tried 8awg just to see, and it’s a little too big, so the description is accurate. I’ve had no problems connecting this to other brand connectors of the same kind (Anderson style 50a). Since the terminal only accepts up to 10awg, I did notice that the outside of the barrel is thicker which basically means it has a thicker sidewall. It took a LITTLE extra effort to crimp but not much.I used this to make a quick connect on my battery bank. My main battery charger has this style connector, and I have a backup charger as well. I also have a second battery bank out back, so I’ve been working on interchangeability between the battery banks and chargers. This fits my need, and I’m sure I’ll find a use for the extra connectors. Another reviewer mentioned upgrading the connectors for their solar system, and while I do REALLY like these connectors, they aren’t waterproof.

Used these for a small removable winch build and they make life so much better. Instead of hooking up terminals to a battery you just plug it in like an outlet. Really easy to install and saves me time at jobs. Came with 4 so I can use it for multiple applications and even have a dummy one to plug in to keep things clean from road grime. Worth the investment hands down and has a solid snug fit. Great continuity with minimal resistance. Does exactly what you think it should. Would Recommend to anyone in the market for about an 8 gauge wire connection.

I use these on my wifes wheelchair. It has 2 sets of batteries putting out 24 volts each. When one set runs down, we switch to the other set.I do this all the time. We run her chair hard and I usually have to swap batteries several times every month, and then swap them again to charge both sets. These hold up just fine to that kind of use.Great item.

These XRDS quick connects are good quality. Interchange fine with my other branded connectors. Used with 10 gauge THHN wire for solar panel runs. Crimp on terminal ends are good quality tinned copper and crimp securely.Slowly switching to this style connector for all my panel run connections. I like the speed and security of connection and weather resistance. Great for portable panel connection to RV system.Great value for price compared to name brand.Keeper!

This 50A connector is of good quality. The body is sturdy and the contacts appear well formed. This assembled connector mates well with my battery box and other cables that I have. It is easy to assemble. It goes together just like a big PowerPole connector. A good buy.
