I have a 12 year old portable AC that started freezing up and blowing warm. No service ports. Used this valve and was able to add Freon. Blowing cold now and saved me hundreds on not replacing it.

Product is quality. Just isn't what I was expecting. Fitting doesn't fit the fill kit for R134a. It is apparently for another kind of freon. So I either have to buy an adapter or they are not usable for me. I didn't realize there were different size fittings.

if you know what your doing in refrigerator and recharge system the bullet piercing part system are good to use if you don't want to solder. I haven't had an issue with the fridge since the first and last vacuum and recharge. The fridge is cooling better than before and there're no leaks.Once again if you don't know want your doing with HVAC or AC system I don't advice taking it into your own hands because one can make a mistake and completely damage the compressor. Overall it is a last minute resort if the job needs to be done quickly until one has the time to solder the equipment.

I’ve used these to tap into two refrigerators and one chest freezer in order to add R-134 refrigerant. Each appliance was about 20 degrees warmer than they should have been, and these quick fixes allowed me to recharge and fix them all. No leaks or anything. Really great product.

Good value for the money, there is many others of same part number and they are very poor quality. These worked as designed and did not leak. Pay close attention to the seal on the piercing device inside. These have a seal and others dont.
