The chain hole found on most dock levelers are an easy and overlooked way for rodents to get in to a facility. The chains attached to standard rings serve as ladders for rats, mice and other rodents. Rats can enter holes or openings as small as 0.75 inches, while mice can enter holes or openings as small as 0.25 inches. Standard rings leave large gaps at the chain hole opening making it an easy entry point for mice and rats.
