beautiful color but does not act like wool, not like merino. is it a blend of wool and synthetics? needle felts to a very tight consistency like bamboo or silk, not wool.

It works really good. I don’t see a problem with it.

This feels like good quality roving, very soft, and the color looks exactly like the picture. For the amount of roving you get, this is a great value, and it doesn't have that typical plastic-y smell you usually get with new fabric things.

I bought this to felt a large project. When I opened the vacuum-packed fiber it didn't smell natural. I chalked that up to it being sealed. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was way too silky to be the real thing. When exposed to heat real fiber like hair or fur will burn while nylon and acrylic will turn into melted plastic. This melted. It was $25. It is going back—false advertising on the part of this brand! It says wool.

I was quite pleased with this order. The wool strands arrived vacuum bagged. They bulked up without much trouble. The strands are clean, white, oriented, untangled, mostly uniform thickness. They are very useful for touches on lots off different projects. I'm storing the remainder in a macramé vegetable sack. Makes it easy to access and hang wherever needed.

This is great for doll hair. Easy to use and separate into strands.

The product claims it’s natural wool roving. Not sure what the fiber is but it’s not natural wool. It fails in two ways to test natural animal wool. One it doesn’t dissolve in bleach and second it melts when burned. Natural fibers turn to ash. Also it needle felts too tight. When felted you can no longer punch the needle though the product. Very disappointed. The product claimed it’s merino wool. Do not buy.

Love the fact that it's bulk roving for an affordable price. I'm using this as "training wool" while I teach myself how to spin on various spinning wheels. it's not as soft and high quality as other spinning wools, but it's enough for practice.

This "wool" roving is silky soft and colors are true to photo. I imagine it would be good for spinninto into yarn, but I intended to use it for needle felting. This seems more like polyester than wool. It resists felting and makes an odd squeaky sound when the the felting needle goes through needle goes through it. It quickly becomes hard to push through. I doubt that the connection to the felt ba king is secure so it is less than ideal. I was still able to get it to work, but would not have purchased had I realized it was not wool. Looking at reviews after the fact, I agrre that it would be useless for wet felting. The seller should change the listing to mention the actual material this is made of and should not advertise it to be used for any form of felting. I used the "sapphire blue" you can see in the tips of Alastor's hair and the "light green" you can see in his eyes and the stripes on his jacket.

No good for felting, not sure if it’s even real wool.
