I had hundreds of family photos on slides. The Wolverine did well. The adjustments are easy to use so that the images come out nice. I am not a photographer, just wanted to archive and share my Dad's photos. I used it primarily on 35MM slides. Did not do much with the other media. I recommend the Wolverine Titan.

Toch tevreden !

Very Good Product. Does what is says it will do. Love it. Very easy to actually use. So far I have had no issues. BUT the only thing I didn't understand is that for any 8mm FILM....you can ONLY TAKE SNAP SHOTS of the Film and are NOT able to copy it from the film directly onto your PC or the card that this unit can use. So I will need another machine (they make one) for the film copying I want to do. But for the slides and negatives and for shots of a film this is THE Product! I would highly recommend this product and this Seller.

This little device is easy to set up, easy to use, and very effective. The resulting picture quality is much better than I expected. I enjoyed easily and quickly copying several hundred 35mm slides and posting the digital results on Flickr for family and friends. I did not use the Wolverine for significant editing of my slides and didn't intend it for that purpose, which is much more effectively managed on my computer screen with dedicated software for that purpose...as one would expect. A very good buy in my view.

Beware - the product specification is misleading!! This product is shipped from the USA and does not come with a UK plug. For nearly £200 I would expect to find a UK plug or UK adaptor in the box. Instead, I’ve had to request one from the seller and, although they have obliged to send me one (as a gesture of goodwill), stated that “you had to buy it yourself”. The fact that it doesn’t come with a UK plug/adaptor and that you have to buy it yourself is not stated in the product specification. Additionally, it states in the product specification that “Included memory card size: 32.0 GB”. This is also misleading as no memory card is provided - it seemingly refers to an internal memory card although no further details or clarification is provided. I’m very disappointed that the adaptor and memory card were not provided, but very irritated by the customer service response, which has come across as arrogant and patronising - it being the seller’s belief that the customer is wrong for misinterpreting the product specification despite the absence of helpful detail and clarification on their part.

I had high hopes for this scanner but alas it was not to be. I have about 4,000 color slides from the 60s and 70s that I wanted to convert to digital media. The scanner is easy to use and you can scan a large number of slides in a short time. The problem is that I didn't realize the viewer screen is WYSIWYG. It wasn't until after when I was looking at some scanned slides that I discovered the tops were chopped off. While this isn't a big deal in certain shots, it ruins any shots with people in them. They look like an amateur photographer cut off their heads. The second problem is with the color and it's described at length in other posts. Anyone that has worked with color slides knows the color is very rich, which is why so many folks took slides back in the day. Most of the slides I was converting were taken by my father in the 1960s. I hadn't seen them in over 50-years and I was amazed at the color and clarity of the photos that was still retained after all these years. Unfortunately, the conversion is poor and the color is usually too dark. Too bad! I guess I'll have to hang onto my slides a little bit longer until someone comes up with a better quality scanner.

I scanned over 2000 old film negatives - both 35mm and APS. Overall, the Wolverine Titan did a good job. It was intuitive and saved the images to my SD card quickly. It took about 12 hours to do the entire 2000+ photos which is faster than I expected. On the negative side, I was disappointed with the color adjustments available. Adjustments really need to be in smaller increments to be very helpful. It could be that the negatives were old and that was the problem. Most were 15+year old Kodak negatives. All the pictures had strong green and red tints. I was able to adjust for the green but not the red. Will have to do some photoshopping of photos I want to print or use otherwise. I also found the 35mm tray difficult to use. The negatives would not slide in as they kept getting caught on something in the tray. I ended up sliding them in the wrong way (left to right) which seemed to work better, but not without difficulty. The APS negative holder was larger than my negatives so I had to manually adjust the film both horizontally and vertically. Not a huge deal, but in the future it would be nice to be able to just slide it through and not worry about top and bottom alignment. Overall, I think this is a decent machine for quick scans. It is easy to use (aside from difficulty inserting the negatives), intuitive and compact. I loved that it didn't require my computer to use!

Note that this is not a scanner it is more like a camere and each has its pros and cons. If you need high quality images this is not the tool but for snapshots it will do a decent job especially on black and white and save you loads of time compared to scanning. In fact it has an advantage that it seem not to record dust and hair on films as faithfully as a scanner. Colours are in most cases acceptable but I find that thin or very light parts of films will be almost bright yellow, not white as in a scanner. This is annoying but can sometimes be remedied by adjusting the exposure. It would be a great advantage to be able to see the results of adjusted exposure live while playing with the controls. The unit it self is nicely built and easy to work with. The screen is large enough and has acceptable resolution for the purpose and the controls allow for most things one needs. Film holders are a bit clumsy and take some time getting used to but they are well marked with the purpose of each holder so one always knows which one to use.I need top quality scans of many of my films to be able to work with them and those I will use a scanner for but I also have a lot of films, family shots, travel memories etc., which do not need such quality and are better enjoyed as viewable images on a screen to share with family and friends rather than locked away in storage. For that purpose the Wolverine Titan serves adequetly. The unit it self and ease of operating gets my five stars but if I compare image quality output to scanned images iI give it three stars which is not bad, really.
