Firstly, the instructions were good until it came time to add the top. But other than just that, it was fine. Building was fine.It’s a little flimsy, a little awkward to maneuver, the quality isn’t the best. It’s able to hold three cats. I like the color, I like the that the top rises. I’m not disappointed.

Don't waste your time or money on this crap. It came damaged, the screws are such poor quality that the screwdriver they provide stripped the screws needed to put the lift in before I could even get them all the way in, I struggled so hard to get them in that the screwdriver cut my hand, and 3 of us looking at the instructions did it exactly as they said and the top was still backwards when it was all put together. Now I can't even take it apart to fix it because all the screws are stripped. Total waste of money, it's garbage.

Item arrived on time and packaging was very good. No chips, dings or scratches. Box shipped with Plastic Corner Covers to protect damage from shipping issues.Material is a little cheapish (pressed wood) but looks nice regardless. Has a texture that resembles wood feel and has a nice sheen to it.Metal Hinges are very good - even has Hydraulics instead of Springs which I was surprised because that costs more! Opening is a bit wobbly but not terrible. Closing is very nice and soft. The Bottom Shelf and Bottom of Compartment material is very Thin and you shouldn't put anything too heavy in or on it because it will eventually Sag and look ugly. The Table Top itself is good though!!Overall, I like it. I could not find a High Quality Wood table on Amazon with this type of mechanism. Even at double the price of these tables, those materials are very similar. Price to Function and Look is just fine for this! Oh yeah - Instructions are kinda terrible. Shows how to assemble Half of the table and you're just supposed to Assume the other side is the same. Gets a little confusing and frustrating. Just take your time and make the most of it. You definitely need 2 people when installing the Table Top!!

We recently rearranged our living room and decided we needed a coffee table to fill in the space. I was wary of getting one with a bottom shelf because spaces like that usually become a "catch-all", so we decided to go with the one that had a hidden compartment. We didn't plan on using the raised table feature much, if at all, so whatever clutter ended up in the storage space, at least it would be hidden. I found out that my assumption was completely wrong. I have used the " desk" function every day since we got it. It is perfect for a writing desk or TV tray to eat from, and the built-in sliders on the legs make the table easy to move on our linoleum floor. The lid is on hydraulic lifters so it is easy to open and closes slowly so there is no risk of slamming fingers (or curious pets) in the lid. Overall, I would recommend this table to anyone looking for a small, lightweight coffee table that doubles as a desk and storage area. The ONLY thing I've found that is anywhere close to a flaw is that the top has to be opened from the middle area or it will start to open sideways, and it can't be opened with any kind of heavy weight on top, such as an overweight cat sitting on one side.

Love this coffee table. Instructions were easy to follow. Lots of storage space, easy to move nice color. Wish I had purchased this several years ago.It's recommended to have 2 people to assemble this, however, I was able to put ot together myself in about 45 minutes I did get the top lid backwards and had to remove that one and turn it around. Thats the part where 2 people would have really helped, but i was finally able to get it righted, so double check the fit before you tighten all the screws.Two tools are provided. Wrench and small Phillips screwdriver. If you have access to an electric screwdriver, definitely use that one.The top lid/cover seems like it could hold a decent weight (1/2" solid wood) The inner shelf (flimsy board like material

This table is exactly what I was looking for. It was pretty easy to put together. Only time I needed help was putting the top on it. I am very pleased with the table. The top lifts up very easy and is the perfect height.

Instructions are just OK…… not fabulous. It’s a B to put together. This job requires 2-3 beers! It’s not going to be easy!!! It looks good enough when assembled. You have to be darn careful when opening the top of the table, as it is not real sturdy. Overall, for the price, I guess it’s just average/acceptable.
