This guitar looks just fine but it is junk. The strings that came with it snapped while trying to tune them. Got new strings and it sounds horrible and won't stay in tune. Deceptive that in the description it says that it was a quality guitar. It just isn't. Should have just lit a $100 bill on fire instead of Spending it on this trash piece of 💩

Summary of review: use the truss rod tool! This review will address beginners as well. For financial reasons I shop at the bottom of the market for musical instruments, hoping to get lucky and getting an instrument that has qualities that are of that of instruments many times the price. I achieve this about a third of the time. This was not one of these times. I sent back 2 of these. The first one I received had RIDICULOUSLY high action. I adjusted it and while I got the guitar to "playable", it had unacceptable amounts of buzz, and I have a very high level of acceptance. I ordered a second one because the TONE of the guitar was absolutely beautiful. I had the exact same issue. The fret buzz at the third fret, the most crucial position, was very prominent. While prominent, it should not dissuade a beginner from getting this guitar. Take note: the truss rod tool is packed attached to the guitar for a reason. Do the following at your own risk- to lower the action, insert truss rod tool and turn away from you a few times. This will hopefully lower the action to a playable amount and a beginner should ignore the fret buzz and concentrate on the gorgeous sound this guitar makes, learning the basics and deciding on an upgrade in the form of a Yamaha classical or their first electric.

This is my new favorite guitar, I absolutely love it. I'm incredibly partial to classical guitars, and this is very affordable. I thought it was probably junk when I bought my first one, but it turned out to be nice so I bought a second one in a different color. They make my heart sing opera, and they're an excellent guitar for people who want a classical guitar or a guitar with a wider spacing for your fingers. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend. Could you find a nicer classical guitar? Certainly. Could you find a more affordable one that's as nice as this? I haven't found one yet.

Ordered a used one for $65 after shipping. Delivery yesterday was right on time, package was well-boxed & protected from damage. Guitar came in a basic gig bag, and included was a smaller cloth bag with a capo, clip-on tuner (2032 battery not included, so I don’t know if it works yet), a voucher for a free online lesson (haven’t checked it out yet) and a pack of strings. These strings are Chinese (like the guitar itself); and the ones on the guitar are kinda nasty; I’ll change them for fresh D’Addarios and keep the Chinese pack for emergencies. The guitar:The body wood is all laminate. The fretboard is some random hardwood dyed black. The bracing inside is ladder style. The overall feel is cheap. This instrument would look at home as a decoration on the wall in a Mexican restaurant. Doesn’t matter. The sound is good. 90% as good as my $400 Cordoba, which sounds 90% as good as a $$$$$ handcrafted instrument. A good player can make beautiful music with this cheapo thing. If you can get a used one like I did, the value is great.

Perfect for a beginner -- my instructor told me to get one with wide string spacing and he approved of this selection. The strings required a fair amount of stretching before staying tuned properly but that's to be expected with this material.
