WEN CT1065 10-Amp 6.5-Inch Plunge Cut Sidewinder Circular Track Saw
Remember when your saw stayed on the right track? Keep your cuts on the straight and narrow with the WEN 10-Amp Sidewinder Plunge Cut Track Saw. The WEN Track Saw provides users the same results as a table or panel saw in a compact and portable package. Simply lay the track (not included – model CT9502) along the desired surface for a clean and smooth cut. The WEN Track Saw is the perfect companion for ripping plywood, trimming doors, building furniture, and any other application needing long, precise cuts. Our powerful 10-amp motor rotates the 6-1/2 inch blade up to 5500 times per minute, letting you power through even the hardest of woods. Bevel the saw 45 degrees to the left to create angled cuts in boards up to 1-5/8 inches thick. Set the depth gauge anywhere from 0 to 2-1/3 inches to control how deep the saw plunges. The 12 x 6-5/8 inch base features precision grooves that let the saw glide smoothly along the track. However, the saw can also exist on its own as a plunge saw, relying on its flat base for maximum stability and precision. Easily switch between three different blade settings: one for scoring cuts that go 1/8-inch deep, one for full plunge cuts, and one to simplify blade changes. The non-slip base cams reduce pinching and minimizes kickback. The back-mounted dust port allows for attachment to your favorite dust collection system to control sawdust and limit cleanup. Simply attach your dust collection device of choice and start sawing. Compatible with the WEN CT9502 100-Inch Track and the WEN CT992F Track Saw Clamps. And, because it’s a WEN product, your WEN 10-Amp Plunge Cut Circular Track Saw comes backed by a two-year warranty, a nationwide network of skilled service technicians, and a friendly customer helpline, all to make sure you remember WEN.

Pros- Price, includes track, Vacuum port works amazing(cover the blade access with tape), you can actually cut Half a blade if needed. Faster and safer than my three table saws.Con- no case, slight wobble, clamps would be nice.Over all As a contractor I really like this. Might buy another as back up for this price.

I have used this saw and used this saw and it comes at your like a spider monkey. It just keeps going and going. The original Wen blade even took to a nice sharpening which I was pleasantly surprised with.First off, remember, a few of the parts are plastic so be kind of careful. I don't baby mine at all, but I don't throw it all over the place either. The accuracy of cuts is right on for what I need. I am able to make precision rip and cross-cuts on all kinds of wood without an issue. There is a TINY bit of movement in the parts (less than 1/64th of an inch but more than 1/128th) but this is wood, not metal, you should never be making a cut that needs that much precision with this kind of saw, regardless of brand. Here are my suggestions to get this thing to work as good as any saw I've ever owned:1. Go slow, if you push too hard it can bog down, but slow and steady and the cut is perfect every time.2. Use the right blade. This goes without saying, but using a general purpose blade to rip laminate flooring is just stupid and no fault of the saw. I use a fine tooth blade with a thin kerf and a lot of teeth and I get absolutely precision cuts with thing.3. Keep the saw spinning fast when doing a plunge cut to avoid tear-out, meaning once again, go slow. Works perfectly fine if you aren't expecting the power of a 20 amp big table saw.All the rules to cutting wood apply. Use masking tape where needed. Use the right blade. Hold the wood tight, so on and so forth and you'll find this thing works perfect. The only drawback you'll find is you don't have the power to cut super fast, but you'll have to spend 4 times the amount to get a saw that can really go quick, so deal with it and enjoy the extra money in your pocket.I hope this helped!

Building a dining table out of 8/4 red oak. Ripping the lumber for the glue ups was too precarious for my jobsite table saw set up, so I decided to get this track saw. The price was the deciding factor. It worked fairly well. It had enough power and depth to cut through the lumber. I wish I would have purchased another piece of track, as the pieces being straight lined were 9-12' long. Trying to move the track and line it up perfectly with the previous cut was a challenge. The fasteners that hold the saw to the track are a bit of a hassle at times. Overall this is a very good track saw if you don't have the money for the fancy brands.

As a contractor who primarily does finish carpentry I’ve used the fancy German tools and was extremely pleased with this WEN track saw. After dialing in the rail tension knobs and removing the kickback “feature” the saw slides effortlessly on the track and has no wobble between the track and saw base plate. The dust collection works pretty well after covering the blade change wrench hole with some masking tape. For the price you can’t beat it for standard cuts.Cons: the saw isn’t very stable when making miter cuts. If you keep the base plate pushed down against the rail it does good but can make it awkward to use.

I use this saw as a mobile setup. I can use it on large 8 foot or larger pieces without having to worry about fitting it on a table saw bench. Think of a track saw as an upside down table saw. It's just so much more convenient. If you have a shop or not shop, it's still probably the more useful saw to have overall. So if you're shopping for a table saw, consider a track saw, you may find you don't need a table saw at all. The 100" track is good. The saw is a budget saw but it's really good for it's cost. I've used it extensively for building cabinets and track and saw perform great with a quality blade (diablo).

As a professional that uses the black and green high end track saw on an almost daily basis I did not expect too much from this unit. I wanted a saw I could leave on a job site and not worry about it walking. This saw surprised me. It works very well. The blade that came with it could be better but I expected that. Simple enough upgrade. What I didn’t expect was what good saw this actually is. Accurate and easy to use. Tracks are are good with a nice length to them. Easy to transport. I used this with a new blade to cut some 1mm thick plywood. Perfect. 3/4” plywood cuts were perfect. Absolutely no complaints. Is this the same quality as my other saw? No but it is pretty darn close. For the craftsperson that needs a track saw for occasional use I would highly recommend this one. Plus I don’t worry about it “walking away “
