This oscillating spindle sander is considerably less expensive than several others; having said that it is also the same exact model as the one from HF and one or two others. It comes with all the necessary and desired options. The only downside I can see is that the table is plastic and not aluminum, but at this price point that's not a big deal and it seems to work just fine without any negative impact on the wave unit works. Time will tell if it's durable enough, but I am very pleased with its performance.

Really good value for a bench sander that has lasted for years. I use this for all sorts of projects, even sharpening tools and it works well. Good power, and not too heavy. I like the design. Fit’s well in small workshops.

So far so good, works as advertised. plenty of power and helps reduce sanding time and shaping wood projects.

It worked ok for a bit but then the motor and housing blew apart. Instead of sending me a replacement sander I just got a replacement motor with no instructions. Had to then ask for the housing. Had to tear the whole thing apart to reinstall it. Worked for a while more but the up and down mechanism keeps slipping unless you put a lot of force on it. The nut keeping the spindle on is now apparently fused so I can’t remove it to switch from the band sander to the spindle sander. Wen makes some decent products but I would not consider this one of them. I suggest trying a different brand.

The good: It works fairly well. It doesn't move up and down very far which means that it doesn't wear the sandpaper evenly, but that is minor. It's even to switch from one mode to the other and to change to different roll sizes. The dust collection isn't horrible. The bad: The places for all the attachments are ridiculous. Clearly, it was designed by someone who doesn't actually use one. They fall out when doing any serious sanding. I put them in a box next to the sander. It feels like cheap plastic because it is cheap plastic. Shown care I think it will last a while. The ugly: So far, nothing is really wrong with it. For the price, it is about what I expected

I bought this for a specific project, to form some awkward inside curves that I was struggling to make using other tools. It solved that problem as soon as I'd put it together (which was not a difficult job, the instructions are simple and easy to follow). Now I find myself turning to it more and more often, sanding curves, and sanding end-grain back to the mark more quickly and precisely than I could clean it up with a hand-plane. It paid for itself on that first job, but it's quickly become a tool I use all the time. And at a very good price too!I won't know how long it will do its job until it stops doing it, at which point I may well invest in a more expensive and professional tool, but I'll do so having proven to myself just how useful it is to have around.
