I switched to spectrum Internet and had issues with a different brand router, this one is working great. Signal works well for my 1000sqft house, gets a little choppy in my back yard. Value for $ is great, setup was easy

Couldn’t get my Wi-Fi hooked up so went on chat, who had tech support call me. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with some dude who told me my network was compromised and needed to pay more to fix it. Long story short, bought a different brand the next day and had it connected in less than 20 minutes. No issues.

was not super easy to set up but with reading instructions and following online, took about 30m of figuring out. But WORTH EVERY CENT. And was not expensive. I have no complaints at all with this Router. I'd buy again and I recommend for anybody with WYZE CAMS THIS is the item you need for the 2.4 band. W9rked PERFECTLY for set up.

I've always struggled with Mesh systems and plug in wifi extenders. Wifi dead spots in old houses are a problem many of us face. I've struggled to get signal to my home office on the top floor of our old victorian house. In my old house, we had a newly wired loft extension and network powerlines worked wonders, but in our new house, the wiring must be routed via narnia because i just cant get the powerlines to connect. Have tried every type of plug in wifi extender with very poor results. Most routers also work as wifi repeaters (check before you buy), including this one. Plug it in, follow the quick start guide, connect to the router over wifi, chose "wifi repeater" in the options and it will then identify your wifi - this one is so powerful, i had about 100 networks from everyone in the street identified. It will then ask you to enter the password from the network you want to repeat, then it reboots and your done. It works flawless and is dual band - both 2 and 5g which is ideal for me. Prior to setting this up, i had a wobbly two bar signal in my office, making zoom and team meetings subject to freezes and "sorry bad connection, turning camera off" - but using this as a wifi repeater, now have full signal strength connection, and on speed test, its the same upload and download speed as on the main wifi network in the house downstairs, so there is seemingly no drop in speed using the repeated signal. Don't know why anyone would buy a plug in type socket extender when a router is as easy to set up and about 50 x more powerful. We don;'t have full fibre yet, so our max speeds are 60-80 mbps download, this gives me a constant 50 to 65 mbps at my desk, and crucially 15-25 mbps stable upload speed (necessary for two way video calls) which is identical to what i get next to the main wifi router downstairs. Its cheap, fast enough for my needs, idiot proof to set up and works. Try it and don't waste money on other extenders without trying this in repeater mode first.

This is the third wavlink. i got, I got all three in different time period. The first one, working great - i can set password for 2.4hz and 5.4 hz differently, I used it as APThe second one, working great, but I have to use complicated passwords. That caused lots of trouble, because I had lots of alexa devices already set the simple password, so I rely on the first one. I used this as APThis third one, same thing, one password for both 2.4 and 5.4 and the password has to be the complicated one. So, again I have to rely on the first wavlink if i don't want to change passwords. It will be hassle for me to change each one of them (light bulbs, smart switch, etc) As you know, all alexa devices need to be on 2.4hz to have it set up.I got this one and want to try to Wisp. I tested it out which is great, and it generates another IP addresses for the devices. Instead of 192.168.1.xxx, it gives 192.168.10.xxx which is okay if no devices are interacting each others. On the menu, it also does give out the client lists on the third one. That way, I know what machines are connecting to my Wavlink. If only I can separate the 2.4hz password, then I would give it 5 stars. For now, the range is good, before I was in the corner room, and can't get any good signal. After I put this one in the corner room, it does connect and the speed is pretty decent. How durable is this one? I don't know yet. All I know the first two wavlink i used it for AP mode, it flashes red all the time, while I used this one as Wisp mode, it gives solid blue. I had no idea why the ap mode shows flashing red and on the console, it shows x lan/bridge connection but it is working great.Anyway, for this one so far so good, easy set up. WISP is as good as repeater. ( by the way, there is little misleading in mode. There is no repeater mode at all!) You may end up using Wisp mode
