The kit consists of a specially adapted version of the PIXI EVO and a 4-section aluminum pole with a ¼ male thread to attach a camera. The pole can also be detached from the base and used as a selfie stick.

So I have gone through a couple of these and find these to be horrible quality for the price Manfrotto sells them for. Honestly, with a name like Manfrotto I would expect a much better quality mini tripod. My primary use for this is for 360 degree Real Estate panoramas. I am in the process of trying to find a good replacement but for now I'll continue dealing with this thing and 2 baseball bat weights I have to use to try and weigh it down so it doesn't move at all. I need something much more stable, reliable, and level.

Nice light weight tripod for the Ricoh theta z. Haven't used it for anything else. You have to take your time, it will wobble and the base can snap off. Love the lightweight factor but losing out on the strength could be a deal breaker for some.

I previously used this monopod with a 360 camera.The monopod isn’t very stable. It’s not easy to level the camera. The locking clips show up in the photos and it took quite a bit of photoshop work to remove them.For 360 work, it might be better to go with round/cylindrical monopods with rotating locks.

I've been using it with a Ricoh Theta Z1. It's stable enough I'm not concerned about using it. Adjustments are super quick and easy.

I own several manafroto products and this is the worst. It’s very flimsy and non professional I damaged a $1200 360 lens because it couldn’t handle a light breeze. I wish they could pay for my loss.

The Manfrotto VR is a long extension pole for use with 360 Cameras I use it with my Ricoh Theta and the extra length opens up more possibilities for the shots I do. The pole is more stable than a selfie stick, being thicker and all. the length is almost double what most selfie sticks provide, so you need that extra stability. The Pixi Evo base is a nice addition since the legs can be extended as well as folded out. I did look to see if I could find the base sold separately, but could not find it (only found the standard Pixi Evo's that do not have a "seat" for the Manfrotto VR). Like any pole (or monopod) on a small base you have be careful when it's windy. Also it does not collapse down to a small size like most selfie sticks, but it's not made for that. If you need the length, or have something bigger than a cell phone this is a great unit.
