They look cool but the drumstick will start losing it's color after a couple strokes. They are also heavier than the normal 5b and if you sweat easily like me, you will struggle with the grip and they will get very slippery.

As expected, VF sticks always perform. Look and feel great. Only gripe, due to the smooth black paint finish, they get pretty slippery when your hands sweat during a rather agreeable John Bonham triplet or Tommy Lee solo

Love the Vic Firth black sticks and this multi-pack is a great deal. I play death metal so they get a rough workout but hold up pretty well. Sometimes I wrap some black electrical tape from near the tip to midway down to add a layer of extra protection.

I always get these because they’re comfortable and they stay in your hand when they warm up. They leave a black silt on your heads when you give them a good smacking, but that’s not a concern for me.

no brainer, good buy, the buy 3 get 1 free is kinda wierd, thats what they cost anyway in stores but its fine still easy and convienient plus quality of sticks is great.

I'm not great at buying sticks. For some reason I can't figure out what exactly I want. Putting it into words is hard. I just know what feels right. These sticks just feel right.

Nothing beats the classic Vic Firth in 5B, but for roughly $7/pair, these sticks represent a good value. Yet, please note that when your hands start to sweat, it's almost impossible to NOT have these things slip like crazy or even worse, go airborne. The black coating on the stick makes it super slippery after a few minutes of playing. Take a little sandpaper to the lower-half of the stick. Problem solved. After sanding, the upper-portion has an extra layer of protection against cymbal strikes and rim shots, while still giving you full control of the lower-half.

Bought these for my son who is a drummer at our church. He plays 4 sets per week with these sticks and he says a pair will last about a month and a half with that much playing and practicing. He asked me to buy another pack! Lol I guess that means he likes them.

I use these sticks all the time. They have good grip. They do not slip out of my hand when I sweat playing. My Favorite sticks to use. I have been using these sticks for about four years. These are the only sticks I use.
