Occasionally instead of screwing into the cork it pushed the cork into the bottle.

WONDERFUL! Eases synthetic and natural cork out easily. Does not handle wax dipped bottles so have to remove the end portion prior to use. For the other 99% of wine though it is fantastic. For rabbit style opener this is the best I have used. Better than portable electric models also. Only counter mounted openers (large and permanent installation) will outperform. Easy, smooth, used for months, one of the smartest buys I have made.

I thought I had found the greatest cork puller in the world until I replaced it with this one. The key is the LOND and large diameter round lifting handle. Even with arthritis in my hands, it’s a quick and easy job opening a bottle. So glad I stumbled across this because it’s a 10-star tool.

So I had a similar wine opener for about 15 years and I was so upset when it finally died. I ordered this hoping that it would be just as good. Well I have to tell you this is great. The opener is actually more sturdy and a little bit heavier. The only thing I wish it had was a foil cutter. I still have the old one which works but I would like a newer sharper one. Over all I love this Drincarier! Very very pleased.

The first time I used it, a part popped off. Was able to reattach, but this opener is not going to have a long life. Pay more and get something more durable.

Very disappointed. It has scratches all around, looks like it's been used and sent back to Amazon. Also it's very heavy but the based is plastic and it feels so cheap, wonky and loose. I don't think it will last long at all? Wouldn't recommend this product for the money, neither use this seller again.Rip off.

That's product works wonderfull. It also makes your bar look totally together. No battery needed. Very easy to use. And strong.

I've used several corkscrews of this type before, many of them double or triple the price of this unit. This one is much heavier and much sturdier, and it works really well.I highly recommend it.

We’ve been using electric wine openers for several years and like them. But it is always good to have a manual opener around just in case the electric ones aren’t working, the cork breaks, or you need more precision. The original ones that look like this are always the best, simple to use, easy to get the cork out of the bottle and very durable. This version is no different than the name brand except maybe heavier and more solid. The handle on this one is almost heavy enough to pull the cork out on its own, so it takes very little strength to use. Its so heavy that you need to be careful not to let it fall down and smash your fingers, which I had happen while trying to use the foil cutter. Speaking of foil cutters, I really like the idea of a foil cutter built into this one but had a hard time getting it to work properly, it just doesn’t seem to have enough blade to cut properly. Overall, a really solid manual wine opener that will work well for many, many years.
