I used this Charging Station to plug in five 30'/200-light fairy light strings on my Christmas tree. Each string has its own remote control on/off switch as well as eight different light settings. I was afraid I'd have to operate them individually, but somehow, they all synched and I just need to use one remote control to operate all five strings at the same time!

I bought this because I will be spending 10 nights on the road with another YouTuber. We will be sharing a hotel room each night as we travel from Buffalo, NY to Knoxville, TN. Then along the Blue Ridge Parkway back up to Laconia, NH before heading back to Buffalo. Hotels are very limited on outlets and we both will have many cameras, drones, phones and battery packs to charge everyday. This will allow us both to charge everything overnight and be ready to record more in the morning. Worked perfectly on a test run to Ohio Bike week last weekend.

This hub was purchased as a main power source for a series of low-power USB grow lights I have attached to a shelving unit in my office, but it really hasn't worked as well as I would have hoped. Because of the nature of the USB grow lights, any power glitch/short automatically turns them off and they must be manually turned back on one by one. If this happened every once in a while, not a problem, but it started happening every day, and now, I can't even turn on a light without the whole hub shorting out.I like to think of myself as pretty tech savvy, so it's pretty frustrating to not know why this may be happening as it's connected to the same power hub as my main PC and other devices, none of which are having the same issue as this single hub. The only reason I've been able to come up with in the past 6 weeks of having it is that there's a problem in the hardware and/or it's been cheaply made. I wish I could return it, but we're past the window.Buyers beware!

I was charging my new Android phone and after about 1 hrs I heard a pop and realized the charging station had overheated and burned the charging cord into the charging station

This was great as a compact charging station for students phones until it stopped working after just a couple of weeks. I've tested it in multiple outlets and tested the outlets, the charger just went kaput.

My wife put this in my stocking yesterday to get us one step closer to our life goal of eliminating AA and AAA batteries from our lives (flashlings, headlamps, children's toys, etc). We have lots of ambitous life goals, but I digress. Needless to say I was very excited to recieve it since one of my kids got a USB charged RC car under the tree and I was dreading having to share my phone charger.So I felt a sense of urgency to get this thing plugged in to start charging all our devices. It's important to pay attention to situations that trigger this urgent feeling. This is when dangerous things happen (I'm a licensed therapist so I know).Despite this sense of urgency, and the fact that I already know how to use the product, I still made sure to carefully read all the instructions on the back of the box first. I'm going to provide you with the instructions so you can decide for yourself if this is a product you would like to plug into your wall. I also uploaded a picture of the instructions. Here goes:"Warning:1. Avoid the metal and water coming into the usb charger, Or'll make a fire. To avoid the short circuit,only work in dry environment2. Don't touch the charger directly when it's working as it would be a little hot.3. Stop using the charger when damaged4. Plug off when not working.5. Only for 12-60 year-old people."Well... These instructions made me confident enough to plug it right into the wall in my bedroom. Since I am between the ages of 12 and 60, I figured I could safely operate this complex machine. I threw all caution to the wind, plugged it in and attached the cord to the RC car (its always best to test these things on a child's toy first).There were a few sparks, the lights flickered and, yes, even a quick wiff of ozone (if you know you know), and there was a slight humming sound but in the end, the RC car was charged and the house did not burn down. In the morning we unplugged the machine on account of Warning #4: "plug off when not working".Right now its plugged in again and all 10 USB ports are connected to devices.
